Bought this to do the plugs on my wife's '18 Passat GT. I have extensions and Plug sockets, but this one being magnetic vs the traditional rubber insert type is so much nicer. Holds the plug without hanging on for dear life. The universal joint makes the odd angles of that tight 10° V engine much easier to work with. Knocked all 6 plugs out today without any hiccups or issues. A couple of inexpensive specialty tools and a half an hour saved me hundreds from the dealership. Always great to accomplish projects yourself. Definitely recommend this tool.

This spark plug socket worked perfectly when R&R-ing the plugs and coils on a 2001 Ford F-150 4.6L. Much better than the klunky combinations of extensions, universal joints, and rubber plug-grabber spark plug sockets I used in the past. One observation: the job also requires a 7 mm socket to handle the little bolt that holds the coils in place. This magnetic spark plug socket ingested the 7 mm socket, was baffled as to what happened to the 7 mm until trying to remove the next plug. Plug socket would not fit on the plug, because the 7mm socket was neatly tucked inside the magnetic spark plug socket 8-). Good tool, well made, recommended.

Noticed a piece chipped and stuck to the rest of the magnet within the first 2 spark plugs this socket has ever seen. Quickly removed the chipped piece and finished the other 2 spark plugs keeping a close eye on the break. Customer support contacted, awaiting response. Will update review when I hear back. Edit 1: It is a day later and despite my first experience with the product, I do have to tip my hat to the support team. They are already shipping out a replacement via USPS First Class. My spark plugs are already changed, but when this one arrives I will remove/reinstall to see if it holds up better! Edit 2: After receiving a product replacement, I went ahead and reseated my spark plugs on my vehicle and it does appear that it has held up after 4 spark plugs. The gasket does hold the plug pretty tightly on this new one and takes a bit of rocking back and forth to remove it, but I 'd say that's better than the alternative of dropping a plug into the engine bay or on the concrete. It seems my experience is a fairly rare one based on other reviews. Overall a great product and glad to know there is a fantastic customer support team there to help with any issues. This tool is great for doing exactly what it was designed for. I saved hundreds of dollars doing my spark plugs myself!

Worked perfectly changing the plugs on my 2019 F-150 3.5 liter.

This has been pretty great so far. I’ve had no issues with the rubber insert failing like other sockets in the past and it has a pretty strong magnet in it as well further helping from plugs coming loose when pulling out of motor. I’ve had this over a year now, and have used it on several work trucks, my personal truck, and my wife’s car and a couple other vehicles of friends and family that have hit over 75k or have oil burning issues in vehicles causing plug fouling, as well as mowers and pressure washers, etc. not quite full on shop workload but this is worth the price for DIY. The built in extension is handy. But may not be ideal for some vehicles I’m sure with certain clearance issues to firewall/cowling under wipers.

Nicely made and with the angled swivel helps for some tight areas. The magnetic bit works well and you can be confident that you will not drop your spark plugs.

Mit diesem Schlüssel ließen sich die Zündkerzen bei meinem A4 8W einwandfrei herausdrehen und dank des eingebauten Magneten fällt die Zündkerze auch nicht heraus. Selbstverständlich die neuen Zündkerzen erstmal nur handfest eingedreht und gewartet, dass sie die Temperatur des warmen Motors annehmen. Dann mit 28Nm angezogen. Zu beachten ist, dass man einen Adapter von 1/2“ auf 3/8“ benötigt, falls der Drehmomentschlüssel über einen 1/2“ Antrieb verfügt.

For me as a hobby technician it fulfills all my demands and it is a great tool with good quality and lot of value for the money.
