I'm very familiar with HDMI matrix switches, having owned them for many, many years as a very heavy user of this particular type of equipment (family home, not professional setting). When my (different brand) original one died of old age, I bought a bargain box to replace it. We soon found that this bargain box had several problems, including failing to pass through audio on at least two separate sources, plus poor IR signal rejection from other remotes, and interfering codes that shut the box down. I searched for a new box and found THIS current Ferrisa switch. I am extremely pleased with the performance of this switch! It not only solves the problems of the cheap switch I bought, but it out-performs my old switch, as well. The box is dang-near perfect so far; I cannot find anything wrong with it, and there is a whole lot right with it. The box switches fast between sources, it switches reliably, it rejects other signals (which means that I can use it with my IR extender just perfectly!), and it passes through all signals with accuracy. I have two (2) completely different spec TVs connected to it (an LG traditional HDTV and a Sharp Roku HDTV), as well as four (4) varied HDMI sources (a TiVo, a DVD player, an Amazon FireStick, and a Google Chromecast). Audio is routed through the main TV path to a Bose box in one of the rooms and on-board in the other, but I could route audio from the switch if I wanted to -- a nice backup feature. The IR repeater I own lets me switch from both the living room and the kitchen, with the box receiving the IR repeater signal perfectly and responding immediately. The indicator lights on the box itself are bright enough to see, but not so bright that they interfere with viewing in a dark room, like some other boxes do. The on-board source switching buttons are a great backup to the remote, if I ever need to use them. Overall, I have to say that I'm really pleased with this switch! It was worth every penny, and I learned my lesson buying cheaper switches. The price point of this switch is very fair for what you get, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

The HDMI matrix is essentially a screen cloner for 4 devices to 2 screens with 2 audio outputs (one for each output screen). It has 4 HDMI inputs, 2 HDMI outputs, 2 analog audio outputs and 2 optical audio outputs. On the front of the panel, there are 8 output LEDs (each designate which device is outputting on which display), one IR led for IR input from the remote control, a power LED, and 2 Key buttons. The housing is completely metal, steel, if I am not mistaken... very sturdy. I only used 3 displays but it was mainly because I only had 3 devices to display from, however, the outputs were up to 4K as listed. I used a 4K Roku, a laptop, and a desktop. I had one audio out via optical audio to a sound bar, and one audio out via HDMI. There were no issues with functionality with this device. Using the 3 devices, and the remote, I was able to easily switch between inputs and output their display on the respective screen and if that device outputting to the screen had audio, and the optical cable associated with that output was plugged in, the audio would play with no discernible impact to quality of the audio as it was completely digital. The instructions for the matrix came in quite handy as it tells you on the back which switches should be in which position to enable which features, so this is one device that takes the user manual seriously... DON'T THROW IT AWAY! This is not exactly user-friendly. Basic functionality is pretty simple and straight-forward, but there are many different specific settings that may leave you wondering why 3D didn't work, or why your outputs are not 4K... that's all in the user manual. That being said, setting it up with the user manual isn't difficult either, since the switches are either up or down, 1 or 2, so just pick what setting you want, see what the manual says it is, and set it. I see myself using this in my office, but not for dual monitor setup, more for entertainment purposes--setting up display for my server and Roku devices, maybe an input as a third display on my desktop for videos, etc. This did not recognize the two outputs as two separate monitors if you did not have two outputs from your computer into two separate inputs on the matrix, so don't get this thinking you can get dual monitor usage out of it, it's a screen cloner--sends one signal to two screens, like a presentation. The only criticism I would have really is the Output LEDs. When one LED lights up, the one immediately adjacent to it also lights up a bit. This doesn't take away from the fact that the one lighting up is MUCH brighter than the others, but it seems like a small oversight. I would place even a small barrier between the LEDs to prevent light leaking... it would not be a large expense for the manufacturer, and would result in a much cleaner-looking product. All-in-all, excellent product. And for $42, it's a good deal.

This is a replacement of a prior Hdmi Matrix switch and it is more durable than it's predecessor and it's remote is easier to use with an extra nimber of input/output options over the 2/2 of the prior I/O as versus here the 3/3 configuration.

- 1/30/2023. Revised back to 5-star for product and service. Seller reached out and offered an upgraded 4k 60hz HDMI Matrix 4X2, support HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.2 switch for me to try. My initial impressions are very positive and device is so far working as expected without anomalies. As of this writing, the upgraded unit is not time-tested but I am optimistic especially given the proactive service and support provided by seller. - Reduced to-stars after device began faulting: Bought in July 2022 and was initially very happy. All functions performed well and switch was working flawlessly for all HDMI and audio connections from multiple sources and to multiple devices. Over time, however, device became faulty on HDMI2 input - would not switch reliably. Picture was flawed but audio switched okay. Replacement unit (under warranty) received in December, but by early January, audio input was not switching correctly - optical source was not to be heard yet aux (analog) audio switches cleanly. Switching back and forth between HDMI input ports with remote clears problem...but issue keeps recurring. Initially very happy, but now very disappointed in product. Since build seems solid, I imagine item is being manufactured with inferior/cheap components - that's my guess.

Product arrived faulty. I needed to wait to test it until I got my other items together. Once everything arrived I plugged it in and nothing worked. No power, no led lighting, nothing. Since it is out of return/swap window I’m down my money and have a paper weight..

I have one of those hid behind the wall wire route kits for my TV for a clean setup, but this limits the number of cables I can fit through the tube. This was perfect for the TV since I ran 2 HDMI cables through my wall and dreaded having to route any more HDMI cables through. I hooked this up to the two outputs of the splitter and hooked up my PS4, Nintendo Switch and retro gaming console without any fuss at all. Resolution was the same as a direct connection and no seemingly change in video quality. It comes with its own remote which helps in switching between sources easily. Would buy for my other TV set at home.

I subscribe to the Australian Rules Football league. I could watch the games on my 1920x1200 monitor, but I'd prefer to watch on my TV. They do not have a Roku app. So, I was going to switch from the monitor to the TV. With this product, when I switch the output to the TV, I do get an image on the TV, but it flickers along the top 60 lines and the bottom 60 lines. It's very distracting, and I can't watch a game that way. Bringing up display properties in Windows, when I'm switched to the TV the card is reporting that it's displaying in a 1920x1080 mode, but that it sees the native display resolution as 1920x1200. I've tried to work around the issue with a couple of utilities that say they can force the native display resolution, but neither worked. If I physically unplug the cable from the switch and plug directly from the TV into the display adapter, it displays fine. There is no DIP switch setting to just pass through the EDID from the currently chosen display to the port on the display adapter. It does allow copying the EDID from one display or the other. But, that does me no good, because the two displays have different capabilities. The signal that's correct for one is always going to be wrong for the other. Most people have 1080 monitors, these days, because they're so cheap. So, switching from a 1080 monitor to a 1080 TV would work just fine. For that situation, this product would be a decent choice. But, it cannot gracefully handle displays with different capabilities.

The LED bulb shows clearly what input it is - Remote is easy to change the inputs - and no sync issues - it is only day one - but I don't foresee any issues with the item - works great as shown - it is a tad more - but does have two optical outputs - that is really cool. (It worked right out of the box - nothing to fix or change - I like that! Two TVs and DVD Player - Shaw Box - and Other.)

４入力２出力で他製品を最初に購入したものの謳い文句ではHDR対応だったにも関わらず結果映像が色褪せて表現せれたということで非対応だったと判断した為返品、コチラを再購入。結果問題なく作動、環境的に目的を全うできた。 そして前製品より遥かに切り換えが速く満足の製品。

j'avais un autre commutateur qui ne faisait pas correctement le boulot entre le visionnage sur le tv ou la tv avec celui la rien de plus simple on choisi l'appareil et on choisi la sortie tv ou projecteur et hop il ne reste plus qu'a s'installer confortablement plus de prise de tète merci au concepteur.
