Invincible Compendium Volume 2

This comic is great. Amazing storytelling, character development, and artwork. It came in great condition and is a perfect edition to my collection. Perfect for comic book lovers and people who watched the show. 1000x better than the show.

I have now purchased all of the compendiums just to say I own them. Invincible is a comic that I wish I had looked into and purchased when new issues were still hitting shelves. As a collector and lover of comics it pains me to think about it. Luckily, these compendiums exist, which are far and away the best "value," in terms of money spent on the actual comic, that you can find. Any other way of reading Invincible is more expensive for getting essentially the same product. The compendium(s) are all hefty boys, and holding the book the way that I read makes my hands a bit sore after about an hour, but the story is so good it's worth some very tolerable hand cramps. There's practically no cons that I can think of save for one, which are the comments and sketches from Kirkman and Ottley that could normally be found at the end of each trade paperback. Reading the notes and things they had to say always added an extra layer of enjoyment after just finishing one of the books. The forewords that accompanied each of the trade paperbacks were also welcome, and some of them were kind of funny. Aside from that, Invincible is a 10/10. The show made me want to read the rest of the series, so I am, and I am addicted. Even if you know nothing about Invincible, the show or comic, if you enjoy superhero comics then this is a must-read. Kirkman takes the story in an interesting direction with each twist, especially when you think that the larger overarching plot can't go anywhere else. Ottley's art has dramatically improved since he was picked up way back near the beginning of the series, and he is easily one of my favorite modern comic artists at this point. The duo can do no wrong, and honestly after being on a heavy manga stint for a while, this series has re-invigorated my love for Western comics, and has made me want to try out more independent series (not Marvel or DC). One last thing, if you're hesitant on taking the plunge, Comixology Unlimited (as of 06/28/2022) lets you read the first 10 volumes/trade paperbacks of the series, which gets you past where the first season of the show ends by a fair chunk, and gives you a glimpse of what's to come. Perfect comic PEAKEST fiction of all time

Best compendium out of the 3. Great value and condition.

I love the anime, so cant wait to read the books! The pages and colors are very nice too! If you are planning on keeping it as a collectable item or displaying it, I would just find a physical book store though.

The world of superhero fiction is constantly trying to subvert itself, and whether we like it or not, the genre is here to stay. Whether it's dark psychological thrillers like The Joker, uber edgy satire like The Boys, or ultra comedic but action heavy personas like in One Punch Man, despite millions claiming that they're done with superheroes, there's always something new to grab you back in. Invincible does just that, but in reading form, with some of the best action, best twists, and best pacing in any comic book. Sure, the dialogue and characters could be more fleshed out and have more realistic views, but this comic book makes up for its flaws with an enormous sense of spectacle. Nearly all of the arcs in this volume are absolutely bloodpumping, from the Invincible Wars Arc, to the Viltrium War, to the Sequid Attack, to the betrayal of Cecil, there is just so much to dig into with this volume, and I didn't even mention the best segment of this whole book, which I refuse to spoil. Referring to the book itself, it came in great condition and I was ready to read it right away. I suggest that if you bought the first volume and want to buy the next one, then stop quelling your doubts and buy this volume right now! Not only is it worth it, but it will be the greatest comic book reading decision of your entire life.

The side off the book is badly glued, a gap is present between the cover and the pages.

Great comic overall, no damage in shipping and came 2 days early! Only complaint is that the shipping almost took a month which is somewhat understandable as it came from america. If you've just finished the show this is a perfect place to start from if you dont want to read a story you already know. Ryan Ottley's art is amazing and really helps you get immersed in the comics The story is even better, where we get introduced to Thragg, one of my favourite characters and see his epic fight against battle beast. I highly recommend for any invincible fans.

Buen compendio, sería mejor con pasta dura ya que la blanda si no la sabes manejar se lastima. La historia de Invincible cada vez captura más, cuando hay alguna subtrama que no sabes si fue relleno, resulta que el autor le sabe dar la vuelta de manera interesante y siempre usa todos los personajes presentados de alguna forma u otra. De mis cómics favoritos hasta ahora y estos compendios son una de las pocas maneras más efectivas de poder leerlo.
