This is my 2nd pair the first pair were great. They have wood in the heel then a rubber sole under that. That's great for cool factor and I can hear them when on a hard floor, but that (after a long time) will be what wears out first. The rubber sole under the wood will either come off or wear out. I tack nailed the one back on like it was from the factory and that worked fine until it wore too much. Don't let that change your mind I wore them for along time and to be fair most shoes would have been worn out a lot faster than the sole of these. Fit as expected If anything that is if...they were a very little bit big but not too big.

I've bought these shoes three times now. I love the way they fit and feel, but unfortunately they do not last. I work in restaurants and they tend to get abused. I think each pair has lasted 6 to 8 months before the soles start wearing out. You can't beat the price for the fit and looks. Watch out if you walk on a wet or damp surface. These things are like ice skates. If you wear these once a week and or work in a carpeted office, then they'll last you a long time. Maybe next time I'll actually spend the money and get a pair that will last and can be resoled... and then again, maybe not.

I bought these for my husband as an early Christmas present. He so desperately needed brown work shoes. He typically wears a 10.5-11.5 depending on the shoe. For the cap toe type shoes, it seems he generally wears an 11. As he has been wearing these several times a week for the past 5 months, they are wearing beautifully. Nowhere near the end of their life expectancy. Now that I realize how much time has past, these look pretty new for the wear that they have been getting. I would highly recommend these. For the price that I paid, they are worth it. I would venture to say that I would have paid more and been just as happy. Will be looking at Florsheim's in black next.

Been using this brand for a number of years, largely for comfort and durability. These shoes were comfortable and fitted well, however, they were extremely poorly made. On my 8th wear, part of the sole on the left shoe came off. After using some shoe glue and trying to get the nails to slot back in, i managed to get three more wears out of them before, guess what, the right one did the same. After another DIY repair I gave up and decided they belonged in the trash. In sum, nice shoe, but I obviously got a poorly made one and thus an expensive mistake.

I bought these shoes through Amazon Wardrobe, looking for a nice pair of medium brown shoes for my son's wedding. I like the option to try before you buy. The minute I tried these shoes on with my navy suit, I knew I found the right pair! Quality is good, comfort is excellent, style was spot on. Very glad I bought these shoes!!
