They worked perfectly for my 2009 gmc sierra 1500, only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because the programming instructions provided didn’t work even though another video said it should. I found a different video that worked perfectly though! No more messing with it for 2 minutes to get the key to turn and I now have 2 keys instead of 1!

Easy to install and easy to program to the truck.

I’ve been dealing with my worn ignition cylinder and worn keys for years on my 07 Yukon. Decided to finally replace them since the anti theft system is no longer recognizing my keys (completely doesn’t recognize the spare key anymore) but even before that, ive always had to wiggle my keys to even get the truck to run but never bothered me until this anti-theft issue. I tried to get my car to relearn the new keys by trying to trying to do GM’s 30 minute method but I wasted to much time because once I did it on the instructions for the cylinder, it worked in under a minute as opposed to GM’s 30 minute relearn! Im super happy to just be able to start my car normally and without the anti-theft message coming up anymore!

Had the ignition installed and programed in less then 20 minutes . All the instruction where clear and easy to understand and I can say the job went hassle free. do not waste your money on cheap knock-offs ,Dorman know what they are doing

Strongly recommend this product. Watched a couple videos on youtube, Dorman has a GREAT one and did this myself at my grandparents place. Went there to borrow tools. The hardest part for me was taking off the panels '13 GMC Sierra. When you put a pin in to remove the cylinder, remember to turn the key first, and ensure the negative terminal is disconnected. This fix was less than $85 and my own time. FAR less than going to a dealer or mechanic. Very easy to code my new keys! Thank you, you saved me a lot of money.
