The late and great Chef Paul Prudhomme came out with a line of Magic Seasoning, some like his Blackened Redfish are hot, many others just fine blends of herbs and spices. I've found his Magic Salmon Seasoning to be one of the very best. This comes in a generous 7 ounce cardboard cannister with handy sift ot por spout. Going by current desertcart prices, one use, 1/4 teaspoon, will cost you less than 4 cents! The ingredients are sugar, salt, pepper, granulated onion and garlic, yellow mustard seeds and paprika. There is nothing there specific for fish and no reason you can't use it on other foods like tomatoes, cucumbers, potato salad, chicken or shrimp. For delicious salmon fillets. I'll brush them with a little melted butter/olive oil, a sprinkling of dill and then Chef Paul's Magic Salmon Seasoning. If the fish is skinless, repeat on the other side. Bake for 20 minutes and ooh la la! 100 mg sodium per serving is a modest amount, so salty taste doesn't overpower the delicate fish in question. It's Gluten-free, Kosher and gets 5 stars for the most tasty alchemy around.

A: They taste the same to me! Some people say they're different but I can't find ANY differences between the 2 myself in taste or in the ingredients. No difference whatsoever as I've been using Chef Paul Prudhommes MAGIC SEASONING BLENDS for many many YEARS & will continue to use them as long as I can find them ❤❤

A: I can only say that when my wife ran out of the salmon seasoning and started using the regular seafood magic, I knew something was off. It was still good, but I got to have the salmon seasoning for salmon, and the seafood magic for any other seafood.

This is probably my 10th time purchasing this salmon seasoning. I use it liberally on the fish after spraying it with avocado oil and it comes off the grill tasting as good, if not better than what you would get in a restaurant. This is a must if you love salmon.
