Works great as PTouch Kit (PT-2600)
Holds up to 16 TZ tapes of various sizes, the labeler, instruction manuals, USB cable, CD, and AC Power Supply. As always, well protected and rugged. The pluck and pull foam was easy to use. If you put the time into it, you can create some very nice setups with the foam. If you cut any of the foam to varying heights, be sure to put the messy (cut) side down where it can't be seen so you end up with a nice, smooth professional bottom for your components. This also adds strength back into the remaining foam pieces. Use a hot-glue gun if you need to (re)secure any of the foam back into the case. Glue on the bottom for a professional finish. This also adds a little more rigidity to the foam compartments. Pelican will absolutely honor their warranty (and they are serious about not covering damage by children under 5 - don't ask me how I know) :P. To replace, you will need to send the old case in at your expense and they will repair or replace the case. The pluck-n-pull section is made up of a grid of 30x19 1/2" foam pieces, and the usable area (with foam) is 4 to 4.5 inches deep. (the foam is 4 inches deep and you can have roughly 1/2" of product poking above the foam). The pluck-n-pull section contains about a 1 inch perimeter of foam that is not pluckable and there is a 1" foam pad that is used for bottom support beneath the pluck-n-pull section. With foam, you have a workable area of roughly 15in. x 9.5in. x 4.5in. The 1500 case is a great general purpose equipment case, and is legal as carry-on for travel. These are basic guidelines that should be roughly true for all Peli cases with the pluck-n-pull foam. It would be nice if they published more details about workable area with the foam, so hopefully these details will help someone looking for the right sized case.

Almost Indestructible
I used this case to freight a delicate turntable by air. That is how much confidence I have in Pelican. Their cases are absolutely rigid. The pickable foam inside provides excellent customizable protection. Peli cases are crazy money and they are heavy too, so they use a chunk of your 32 kg limit, but there really is no other case that will definitely survive airport baggage handler abuse and still deliver your delicate items in tact. I would go so far as to say, if it arrives broken, it is prima facie evidence of a deliberate and highly kinetic attempt to vandalize your luggage. For my use case, they are worth it.

Pelican 1500 Yellow
First off, I bought this for my GoPro setup, and I purchased the yellow for it's "stand-out" color. I recently got back into scuba diving and absolutely wanted some video footage from said diving, and wanted a case to: A. Protect B. Float C. Be easily identifiable The case protects my camera and accessories from impact as well as water! During a recent dive, all my accessories and spare batteries were left on-deck and in the case, which stayed perfectly dry. I did not attempt any drop-tests to check durability, but this thing is a solidly built tank of a case! It's going to be on a boat often, and around water... So I threw the solidly built, highly visible Pelican into the pool one afternoon for about an hour. After playing around in the water for a while with the GoPro (submerging the case several times) it was time to check the contents. The heavy rubber gasket around the perimeter of the case kept the inside of the case watertight. --I wouldn't recommend everyone do testing such as this because there is always some risk involved. Visibility.. On a boat full of gear, this yellow case is easily seen, even in low light! Perfect! The latches to close the case are very solidly built with some kind of secondary "catch" in the mechanics of it. Long solid hinged rear of the case. You can easily fit several GoPro cameras with many accessories in here. Exactly what I wanted

Great size to protect and transport many specialty items.
I really like pelican cases. The pick and pluck foam is fine, but easily changed for Kaizen Foam if needed. The protector cases are solid, and well engineered, with some weight for protection. The 1500 case is a great size for so may things from photography with cameras and lenses, to laptop computers and all the things that go with them. It looks and works great. Fast delivery and well packaged.

Great rugged case perfect for housing your camera gear!
I bought this case to house my Nikon camera gear for whitewater rafting trips. There is virtually no other way to protect your gear on a whitewater raft than with this case and its the only way I would ever trust that much gear in any box. Here is what I was able to fit in this case with adequate padding: (See my customer uploaded image) - Nikon D7100 w/35mm 1.8 lens with hood - Tokina 11-16mm 2.8 lens with hood - Tamron 70-200mm 2.8 lens with hood - Nikon SB-910 Speedlight flash - Remote flash transmitter/receiver - Flash diffusers - Battery charger This case has housed all of that gear on different rafts for over 21 days getting splashed constantly on Class III-IV rivers without any leakage. The only incident I had was when the case was strapped low in the boat and got completely submerged under about two feet of water for about 10 seconds as we went through a very large rapid. Since the case was strapped down it was submerged entirely the whole time until the boat drained out. When I opened the case there was just a hint of water that had entered the case through the seal on one side but it didn't get anywhere near my gear and everything else remained dry. Since then I no longer strap the case to the floor, but I would trust it to keep my gear dry still even if I did. I use this case on or off the boat since it keeps my gear very secure and I don't have to worry about being super careful with it. Definitely recommended if you are a serious photographer or need a serious case for serious conditions.

Perfect size SHTF equipment, gear & weapon case
I'm a prepper. Have about 175 various size Pelican cases, use them for everything. The 1500 case is the perfect size for my Avon gas mask, hydration system, several filters & a desiccate canister. Getting another 1500 for a Mira gas mask and accessories. I use a label maker to label each case. All my Pelican cases are stacked on shelving in the underground bunker. Can't say anything bad about Pelican cases Purchased several more 1500 and 1520 Protector cases. They are a great size Pelican case, not too big & not too small, easy to handle and stack. Put a desiccate canister in a case and whatever is inside is protected from the elements and pretty much anything else. As an example, NBC gear, communications, weapons spare parts and tools, weapons, geiger counters, tri-field meters, ammo, clothing, spare optics, water filtration, laptops, first-aid, meds....

This is a bomb proof protective case that I use for storing and transporting telescope eyepieces. The case is expensive but worth the money if one wants the best.
