Stansport Mosquito Netting Small (705)

It is not very big, and there is no floor in it. I probably wouldn't take it camping--no way to use it with my hammock. It might work inside a tent, but my tent has a mosquito net. I spend some time in third world countries, though, and this is perfect to protect one person from mosquitoes, provided you can find a place to hang it.

As a mosquito net, it works. The little bugs were all confused all night trying to find an opening. The only problem is that the hanger is off-center. The tents my son's scout troops use have a hanger that is centered so it didn't fit that well. I should have looked at the tent first, but it was a boy scout camping for the week and they use the troop's tents instead of bringing their own. But no mosquito bites to report.

I found the netting to be both light and sturdy, and even the small mosquitoes had no chance of getting in. (I saw them trying.) The netting didn't tear on the couple of occasions I caught something on it. Which gets to "Key is how you set it up." I purposefully bought a double-size thinking it would give me more room, but I was in a relatively low shelter and the single suspension point of the netting made this rather claustrophobic. I had to spend some periods of time during the day under it. And if one happens to catch a button on it or lean against taut netting when shifting around, it will very easily untuck from between a plastic ground tarp and plastic mattress -- and then get all twisted up. I tried taping and clothespinning up some additional contact points with with shelter, to "build it out" -- this might work with the right tape, but not for me. And clothes pins didn't hold, either. I give it 4 stars because it seems well constructed, and my problems could have been due to my being an inexperienced camper, but can't give a 5 because there were some very frustrating moments! I think the more "boxy" design with multiple ties might be better if you can set up shelter with two overhead cords or other ways to get that set up!

Bought this to go to Haiti to help build (rebuild) houses. Fortunately when during the time we were there we did not see any mosquitos. Left it on the cot during the day to keep out any critters or bugs that might want to wander in to the bedding. Only problem is that it blocks most of the air flow, so at night did not use it. It is very small and compact, and I assume thta due to the tight weave of the netting it would keep mosquitos out hence the top rating.

Way tooooooo small... And it has several small dead bugs hanging on the net! I cannot find any "used" word for it on the item description page -- who can do me a favor and tell me why a new mosquito net has several bugs on it! Another thing is its quality. Small green patches are spread all over the net, which makes me think if there's any hole on it that's why I can see them... It may be the fact that I am the unlucky one, hope you friend will find something good.

My daughter used for one week at Girl Scout camp. She said it didn't hand correctly and the bugs got it. Will need to get something else before her camping trip this summer.

This mosquito nets does the job but it was a bit annoying because of how close it sits to your body. I used it in a very hot environment and with a fan blowing it was always blowing up against your face. It is relatively easy to get into and out of and redistribute if you get up in the night but in retrospect I would have preferred one that was on a frame that kept the netting away from my skin.

Keeps out flying insects

I really like this product. It is quite small and easy to carry around. It also provides peace of mind while traveling in other countries. I recommand

Esta red da solución al problema de los mosquitos mutantes resistentes! Nada mejor que dormir alejado de ellos, aparte esta divertido dormir en ella. Igual si le pones dos sujetadores en el 1er y 3er cuarto de la red tiene mejor espacio y así la alejas de tu cara. (En medio de la cama está bien pero si duermes acompañado la red esta muy cerca de tu cara)

The net is great but on the picture they make it appear like it’s a tent (like there is something at the bottom) but there is nothing
