very nice little player
I got a new one after the first didn't work. It is a nice little player. I got it to listen to MP3s. The battery life is really good. Even though it has a port for plug in power, I wasn't able to get any of several adapters to work. But since the batteries last nicely, it really isn't a big deal. I haven't tried anything other than the play button - so I don't know about any other features...

Do not recommend
Very unreliable. Sensitive, would turn off if set down even gently. Constantly required new batteries. After just a couple weeks of use stopped working. Either would not turn on, would spin but not play or stop, or would say open when closed and again not able to get it to play. Very frustrating. Should have spent more for one that would actually work.

Uses too much battery power.
Cheaply made product which consumes too much battery and skips easily. Don't know why I bought this except that it was inexpensive. I guess you get what you pay for! Let this be a caveat for anyone looking to buy a CD player. Feels like it could break easily too.

When working it works well. It doesn't always start playing when you press the play button. Several times I have had to remove the batteries and reseat them to get it to work. Same batteries.

Yes, it works for MP3 CD's
I already had one MP3 disk (Ngagio Marsh "Tied up in Tinsel") that I wanted to play and had just gotten another. I knew that, theoretically, I could use I-tunes to turn these into files I could play on my i-pod. But that did not work. It just did not work. And I had just purchased another MP3 (CD) (Author Amy Tan). I have tried it successfully on my older MP3 CD. It worked. Maybe not perfectedly but still I could listen to it in the order of chapters as written.

Supersonic SC252
I have been very satisfied with this product. I use it every night before I go to bed, and, of course, while Iam waiting for appointments in doctor's offices, etc. The sound is good, and It has been very faithful inmeeting my needs. The timing of the battery use is also good. I had wanted another brand, but found thatthe Samsung is as good as I co

Junky, worked briefly and died
I suspect the manufacturer knows he is making a piece of junk but the very low price will entice buyers. I have many MP3 CDs, mostly books but also music. You can get 10 hours on one CD. But that system is dying and the good manufacturers have stopped producing MP3 CD players. My Supersonic never worked with an a/c adapter, and you had to bang it and repeatedly press the buttons to get it working. After I played a few disks it just died and nothing could get it to work. Luckily more good old MP# CD players have recently appeared on the market and I ordered a Panasonic. If you need one stick to Sony or Panasonic. Also, can anyone explain to me why a seller is selling a new 12-year-old Panasonic at an insane price? I mean who is dumb enough to buy it when good used ones are selling 10 times cheaper.
