My amazing new Internet radio speakers!
I don't frequently write reviews, but I'll make an exception for the Big Jambox since it was a perfect purchase, made almost a month ago. I was looking to replace my antiquated Roku Soundbridge and Logitech speakers Internet radio system. It struck me that with the evolution of technology, all dedicated and centralized Internet radio systems are headed towards obsolescence. Nowadays if you want to support the widest variety of Internet audio sources, you need to go for a universal client with a large installed base, such as PCs, Apple or Android devices. Personally, I listen to music from Youtube, Mixcloud and Live365, as well as my own MP3 collection ripped from CDs I own. My solution was to pair a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and a Big Jambox, for a totally mobile, high quality, future proof Internet audio system. The Bluetooth pairing process itself was extremely simple, both with the Galaxy Note and my Toshiba laptop. In terms of audio quality, the bandwidth used by the connection is 328 Kb/s, more than enough to cope with high quality audio. Beyond my criteria for the purchase of this product, here are some relevant comments that may help you select the Big Jambox: - Overall audio quality: the Big Jambox beats my old Logitech PC speakers, hands down. Comparing to the competing Bose product, the difference isn't as marked. Truth be told, I can hardly tell the difference, except that Bose seems to pack more punch with the bass. Having said that, I'm listening to the new James Bond Skyfall theme by Adele, and the quality of the bass as well as the rendition of Adele's marvelous voice sent shivers down my spine! However, a factor worth considering is that the Big Jambox seems to absolutely excel in smaller spaces, like a bedroom. I can confidently say that I have NEVER heard such wonderful, rich, sound in a small space. My g/f was blown away too, from pop to jazz, the Big Jambox shines when filling a small room with music. - Mobility: I can leave my Galaxy Note in the living room and carry the Big Jambox to my bathroom, behind two sets of brick walls, 10 m. away, and the streaming audio still works perfectly. Ambient audio while shaving, pure luxury! The battery life is solid. I'm not a heavy user, but I have never managed to run down the battery. Recharging once a week seems to work for me. The unit itself is the size of a brick and seems well built, though when traveling I'll try to carry it within its original packaging. The Big Jambox beat my expectations and I consider it one of my best buys ever when it comes to electronic equipment.

Great Product.
Got the little jambox and was impressed by its sound/size- but really needed more "oomph". The small jambox is great for offices/one room situations. if you want something to bring to the beach/camping/tailgating, or even as a soundsystem in your house-the Big Jambox is the way to go. I have an iphone 4S-pairing is a cinch. I'd recommend hooking the unit up to your computer and doing any necessary updates and set your settings. you can download an "app" for the jambox that allows you to access Siri from the speaker. this is great if you have your iPhone in another room and want to make a call/change the song/artist etc. As for the sound quality. its pretty amazing. Good bass for a small dock. no "tinny" sound to any type of music i tested (jazz, rock, live concerts, rap, etc). Actually has a setting for any live music you have-kinda like a built in equalizer. not sure if its THAT significant-but at least there's a variation (unlike bose). I'm a Bose guy (own the Soundock 10) and contemplated using the Bose Bluetooth speaker over this- i chose the Big jambox for the phone capabilities. the sound is equal to that of the Bose and i got my Big Jambox for $249 on sale- $50 less than the bose. Battery life is solid- i THINK the jambox goes into some sort of standby mode as i have left it on all day- and the battery icon (the jambox batterly life icon shows up on the iPhone!) has barely moved. Using as a speakerphone was quite impressive. people i called said it sounded like i was on a speakerphone-but the callers were impressed that they could hear me so clearly (and from about 10ft away!). I could hear them no problem as the speaker does a great job amplifying the call. Also great when you get a text/email alert/notification-you can hear the sound from the other rooms of your house if you don't have your phone on you. As for the bluetooth- appears to be pretty solid- same level seems to be ok- if i have the iphone on one floor and the jambox on the other- i will start to hear some distortion. same level and you're good to probably about 40 ft. The build quality is pretty solid. I am a bit annoyed that the "Travel Case" for this device is $50.00. I think you'll want this if you plan on taking it camping/to the beach, etc.. So far i'm very impressed. Will report back if i have any issues/problems.

a premium speaker. I like it better than the comparable Boss unit .
Great sound. Excellent highs and good bass for the size. This is my third one now 15 years. Given away one as gift . Pairs easily.

Nice solid product. But its a bit dated now. Sounds great, good battery life. Other systems like Marshall sound a bit better but terrible battery life.

Big Jambox no te va a defraudar, excelente calidad de sonido, no le pide nada a una de gama alta como bose, los bajos son excelentes para el tamaño que tiene, quedaras contento con ella ! sin duda la mejor bocina portátil que e adquirido
