Very good inexpensive unit. Happy with it. Minor complaints. Good tech-support.
Basically it works very well. Squelch is adjustable suitably. Sound quality is good. Tech-support is very easy to reach that we probably won’t need it. My only complaint is that setting up a second push to talk for the copilot, if you want to copilot to help push to talk can be quite a clutch of extra adapters and patch cables. At least that is so if the copilot is to have his her her own push to talk switch. In my case we have a center stick and the pilot and copilot can use the same push to talk switch. At least it came with a simple wire adapter. I do like that I have the choice of running it on a 9 V battery or plugging it in to the Aircraft 12 months cigarette tape socket. Thank you wish it had a little bit smaller physical profile. Originally had mine this morning that died after 14 years. Just got a new one. Just got a new one. Other complaint is that when the 9 volt battery gets low, but you don’t know that because the battery power light is still flashing, you can get _intermittent_ failure of the passenger to hear the pilot speech. And if you don’t know it’s simply a matter of replacing the battery you can go crazy troubleshooting it. Other than that symptom of flakiness, The only possible clue to a low, but not yet dead, battery is the power on flashing light might get a little bit dull. According to the manual and tech-support the flashing light on battery operation should go out when voltage is too low, but my experience is he may not be able to trust that. In any case I would always carry a spare a 9 V battery Readily available.

Great budget intercom
I purchased this to use in our Can-Am Commander riding in the Black Hills, and it didn't disappoint. We were able to plug in our headsets and an iPod and talk hands free with the intercom since it's voice activated, and listen to the music when we weren't talking. There is a small jack for the iPod to plug into itself instead of having to get a splitter for one of the boom mic plugs. The intercom can be powered by a 9V battery, or it comes with the power port plug adapter for continuous power without the battery. There is even an expansion pack to be able to add another 2 headsets to this intercom to make it a 4 person intercom if your situation would require that. This worked perfect for us without any failure. Impressive.

Works great in my SXS!
The Flightcom model 11SX intercom works great when paired with my KA-1 General Aviation Headsets in my SXS. The voice activation works flawlessly. My wife and I can now easily speak to one another when we trail ride here in NW Arizona, without having to "shout" to be heard! I use one 3.5mm cord that runs from my Dodosoul 128GB MP3 player with a 128GB SD card that has all my favorite songs (over 100) loaded on it to the 11SX intercom input jack and that provides Crystal clear music to both headsets. The voice activated headsets do a great job eliminating both the engine and wind noise. Setup is a breeze..."plug & play" Update... after over one year of daily use, the Flightcom model 11SX intercom continues to work flawlessly in our SXS. All SXS manufactures should have headsets as an option, because they are SOOO loud! Being able to have a normal conversation with your passenger is a game changer in a SXS!!

Not the best...
Not good for jeeps or off-road vehicles. The high wind speed interrupts your voice. It’s an okay product but I definitely wouldn’t waist my money in it again. Before you decide to buy, change your mind and buy something more expensive. Don’t make my mistake and take the cheap way out.

Nice portable aircraft intercom
Couldn’t find the one I bought 25 years ago. Got this for the 172 so instructor could talk on the radio as well. Works great.
