Magic!
Works like magic. I used this to provide DC power to an Arduino mounted on a spinning turn table. Very happy with the product!

First tests shows it works, at least.
Basic first tests indicate it works, at least. 24v in gives around 12v out. The voltage drops some as a function of distance (too close or too far, or with coils offset more than ~25%). I tested it briefly with a 0.4A load at 12v and 8mm spacing, and the transmitter coil pulled 0.3A at 24V (65% efficiency) without any components becoming noticeably hot. Without the receiver coil in place, it pulled 0.07A (24V). There is a potentiometer that allows some finer-scale adjustment of the output current, but if the coils are offset or at suboptimal distance, it doesn't let you pull the voltage back up to 12v. There was a note included in the package that said if you place the coils 8mm or closer it will cause damage to the components. Lost one star b/c of the design of the boards, it would be cumbersome to mount the boards onto or into any sort of enclosure.

Works well but gets hot
Works really well, but know that the heat sink on the transmitter side gets VERY hot. I mounted it in a plastic project box with large holes for ventilation but it still got hot enough to warp the box. If you want to use an enclosure, you will need to add a cooling fan.
