Great!
This device was a lifesaver when I needed to plug in my internet cable to my laptop, which doesn’t have a port for an external connection. No installation needed, easy to use. It worked perfectly and was totally worth every penny!

Great for Gen 1 Switches
A life saver for early-gen Switches. If you are an avid online gamer and get frustrated with lag on online games, this is a must. As early Switch docks do not have an ethernet port, this works perfectly to fulfill that role. It offers the same connectivity as a normal ethernet port would. Just plug it in and plug in your ethernet cable. The only possible drawback is that it requires the use of one of the three USB ports on the Switch. This limits wired controllers and flash drives while the ethernet is connected. Otherwise a great buy.

decent but buyer beware on USB Port.
a little Janky but works for a laptop if you haveto hardwire up or your Wifi burns out. Needed it to Connect over ethernet a console that doesnt have any means of using a VPN. the USB plug is the weakpoint and if i bumped it a bit it'd cause it to disconnect from the PC.

This USB-Ethernet adapter DOES work with Fire Sticks.
...or at least Fire Sticks that support USB (OTG) hubs like the 4K Max 2nd Generation. Have been using a UGreen micro-USB ethernet adapter (B01N1X28F1) for several years but also needed to connect a USB flash drive to the Fire Stick. Power/data splitter wouldn't work since that ethernet adapter requires both power AND data to function. Answer was switching to this USB 3.0/ethernet adapter (B00MYTSN18), but also needed a certain type of USB hub. Fire Sticks have a single micro-USB port, so needed an On-The-Go (OTG) USB hub that supports Fire Sticks and micro-USB connections. There were several varieties available, and purchased a 3-port USB 3.0 hub to connect both the USB ethernet adapter and a flash drive. Steps taken (see picture): - USB (OTG) hub to Fire Stick's micro-USB port. - Fire Stick's micro-USB power cable to the USB (OTG) hub. ...Other end of the Fire Stick's micro-USB power cable to the Fire Stick's AC adapter. - UGreen USB ethernet adapter (B00MYTSN18) to the USB (OTG) hub. - RJ45 cable to ethernet adapter. - Add USB flash drive to the USB (OTG) hub, or a keyboard, mouse, etc. It works! Fire Stick detected the ethernet connection and speed test shows OK for 1080p (see picture). However, would assume this configuration is Not Officially Supported. Unrelated: In February 2025 no driver disk is included, so would need to download drivers for older/other operating systems.

Works great
Use this for a laptop that didn't come with an RJ45 jack. Connected immediately and no issues since.

I bought this after reading other reviews about the performance with the Firestick 4k. My firestick was connected to my router via WiFi (5g connection) and streaming was, by and large, usually fine. Occasionally we'd have the odd buffering issue, but watching content from Prime, Youtube, Netflix etc was pretty much fine. The massive issue that I had though was streaming content from my NAS drive (WD My Cloud Home) which is connected to my router via ethernet. Trying to play anything 4k from it was HORRENDOUS. Videos would start and play, and a few minutes in, you'd get the 'spinning wheel of doom' where it would buffer. Now I like my videos to be super-high quality - most of my 4k videos are 30, 40, even 50gb in size. I guess that the amount of bandwidth that the wireless module on the firestick can handle is not sufficient to cope with such a massive amount of data that I was asking for it to. So after doing a lot of digging and research, opted for this particular make and model, as it's one of the few gigabit ethernet adapters out there that is compatible with the firestick - and let me tell you, it has worked wonders! When I load up a 50gb video file from my NAS drive now, it starts playing INSTANTLY with zero buffering. Want to skip ahead 10 minutes? If I did that when I was on WiFi, I may as well have gone and put the kettle on for a brew because it'd take a good 2 minutes to catch up (buffering... buffering...) - now when I skip, there's zero delay. Yes, you do need to buy at OTG power cable, but they're only a couple of quid. All in all, I couldn't be happier with my purchase!

I bought this ethernet adapter after a lot of searching around for one which would work with Android. The chipset used by this adapter is an AX88179 which works on android devices. I have tested it on 2 of my android devices - a Lenovo Tab V7 (Android 9) and a Xiaomi MiPad 4 (Android 10 custom rom). It worked on both the devices. If your android phone / tablet supports OTG, this should most probably work with it (although keep in mind that not all android devices gives you the option to set static IP on the ethernet connection - my use case required this and only the Lenovo had the option to set static IP) I also tested this on one of my windows 10 laptops without an ethernet port and it worked fine (windows automatically installed the drivers). There is a CD included in the box with a link to the latest drivers if you want to update the driver. Alternatively you can get it from ugreen website. It's a bit expensive, but if you are looking for Android compatibility, this product is worth it.

Got the TCL QM7K recently, it had trouble with some of my 4k rips. To my surprise it came with a 100mbps ethernet port and apparently that's common on new TVs. I read that this adapter works on TCL TVs thanks to other reviews and it it does indeed work online too. Speed test shows about 650mbps now which is slowee than my actual internet speed but also a huge improvement and more than enough for high bitrate 4k video. Completely plug and play, no complaints
