Solar Sound & Light Alarm Motion Sensor

I’ve tried everything before, but this has worked best so far for keeping my one troubled cat off the bed and from peeing on it. As you can see in the video, I have layered water proof canvas with clear vinyl on top of the bed, but eventually they get tiny punctures from the claws that leak through. I got tired of still having to clean up puddles of pee from the top of the vinyl. I even covered the bed with sheets of foil, and that worked to keep him from getting on the bed, but I got tired of how ugly that looked all the time. Now, with this flashing light and siren I’ve found a solution to just keep him off the bed once and for all. I used the charging method for power. No need for solar power with this, so it’s suitable for indoors if needed. There are 4 options of control, so I turn off the siren at bedtime. Just the light flashes at night when I’m sleeping, and that doesn’t bother me at all. In the morning after making the bed, I put the siren back on. Works great. He associates the flashing light with the potential siren sound. Definitely important to utilize the siren for training, otherwise the cat gets used to the silent flashing light and he will ignore it and pee. The sound is what is most effective in training. Love it! I’m going to get another one for the dog’s bed just for training, until that cat stops peeing there too.

I've had this unit in operation for 3 nights now, and although it's not very loud, it has chased off one very stubborn deer 3 times! So, it works to: A) detect movement at night and B) makes light and sound to spook wildlife. So far, it has not made any false alarms yet (previous motion alarm went off all the time for nuthin). I guess I'll update later about longer term usefulness.

It is easy to setup. There are 4 modes and the mode is selected by depressing button on back and observing setup light flashes (1 flash for mode 1, 2 flashes for mode 2 and so on). There is a label on back with mode information (day/night & Light or light/siren). The unit is rather small but works. I initially charged it and placed outside. My worked for about a month and then once detected motion the leds and siren would go off but would not shut off (modes 1 & 3). The only way to shut off siren/alarm was to depress button to change mode. Modes 2 and 4 (flashing leds) continued to work as expected (detected motion, leds flashing and turned off in about 30-45 seconds). Contacted the vendor, they responded same day and are sending a replacement. I do like the unit and it does generally put off deer and a bear. It is rather loud and irritating, which is what you want in an alarm. I procured this to deter a bear but is also deter deer.

Only lasted one summer. It did perform well during that time though. Was used to alert myself or my dogs when a moose was raiding the garden.

In use for about three weeks, liked the first unit so much that I ordered six more. Here is what I learned. They do real good on their own outdoor charging after initial in house charge. I live in a very northern location, doing really good charging with indirect and minimal daylight. They operate at minus 12f and in heavy frost and freezing rain and snow. I clear the snow off the top of solar panel but believe they are taking a charge through the snow. The flash and sound is plenty loud enough for my intended purpose of scaring off a trespasser or thief. I use these in addition to other sensors with alarms that ring in the house. It's not realistic to expect these to be loud enough to hear ringing outside, from inside your house. I'm very impressed with the resistance to harsh winter environment conditions and solar charging ability in minimal daylight conditions. The price point is real good.

This is the second similar style of these motion sensor solar/usb rechargeable alarms I use around my vehicle. I like this one a bit better because it has a longer detection range, housing is a clear red, the red led's are quite bright and you can see a very good battery inside not the usual cylindrical type, flat not replaceable. Since I don't need it during the day it's set for nights only and since there's no remote I wondered how I could shut it off fast. In this mode the solar panel acts as a switch, shine a bright light on it and it thinks it's daytime and shuts alarm off. Otherwise it will sound for 45 seconds and will repeat if motion is still sensed. The remote for other alarm always needs fresh battery, acts up if remote sensor has moisture on it, so 6 of one half a dozen of the other. I rely on these alarms along with 3 driveway motion sensors placed strategically using different tones for each. A good little alarm, enough to send any human vermin away asap, easy to set just one button to push and if there's no sun just plug in the usb cable it charges up fast.

forse se era presente un telecomando era meglio. comunque funziona lo stesso ed e pure affidabile l'unica cosa e che una volta selezionato il menu specialmente con la sirena bisogna scappare subito altrimenti comincia subito a suonare,

Works very well, although its picking up the slightest movement. So if you have animals/dogs/cats they will also trigger them. Settings is easy and easy to operate. The alarm and light sounds good. Great product but be wary if you have lots of animal movement

Lochabstand des Halters zum Aufhängen nicht mit vorhandenen Geräten kompatibel, Wechseltausch frisch nachgeladener Geräte so also nicht möglich, das ist mindestens ärgerlich. Ärgerlicher ist, dass nach kurzer Benutzungsdauer in einem Gerät der Akku defekt ist. Nachtrag Dezember 2023: alle Akkus defekt, ALLE! Daher für die ansonsten guten Geräte: keine Kaufempfehlung.
