what color is the fan?

A silver matte, not shiny. The very top where the controls are is gray. It is a very nice looking fan.

My lcd display does not dim after holding the mode button down for three seconds, am i doing something wrong?

Mine does not dim. But it does turn off the display leaving only a "half-moon" icon on the left side. This helps since you don't get the full brightness of the display.

My tower fan won’t turn on at all ? I went on vacation and I left it unplugged and now it won’t turn on .

Does anyone know which resistor is in the remote control? We had a bad battery and it ate half the resistor and I can't determine which to get.
