Fresh, great taste!
Every time I went to Italy I used to buy bottarga there, because I still hadn't found a bottarga sold in the U.S. that satisfied me. I haven't been to Italy in a while and decided it's been too long since the last time I had bottarga pasta, so I decided to give this one a try - actually amazed that it's been sold on Amazon! After opening it, I immediately realized it's quite fresh, as the thin "skin" covering it was peeling off quite easily (usually when bottarga is very old it's quite difficult to peal the outer protective skin). I put it in my pasta, with a hint of olive oil and the taste is really delicious. Great bottarga, I am happy I found it!

I always observe the color and the smell
If you are used to enjoy Botarga this is a very good place to buy from it was delicious . The colt was as it should be the smell great and the value was a little high .

Disheartening
When I was a child my dad and I would eat this and it tasted sooooo goood; in Spanish we call it Hueva de Peacado. I had been looking for a while and was happy to have found it and was so excited to order it because it brought me back to my childhood with my dad. What a letdown I had when I got it :-( It was rock hard, very stinky and a very strong bitter taste. NOTHING like what my dad and I loved to eat and VERY expensive for the quality and amount. How sad!
