This is a really nice set. I bought a Sony Cybershot DSC WX-150 camera and even when not in use the battery would not hold a charge. After reading some reviews of the camera I found out that others had this problem too. Rather than have to mess with customer service, I searched Amazon for the heck of it to see what they had and I found this product. For the price I decided to try it. Wow. There are TWO batteries that come in their own plastic cases, plus a battery charger with different adapters for charging just about anywhere. From the other reviews, it sounds like these batteries are much better than the one that originally came with the camera, but I would have to say that the charger is also better than the one that came with the camera! With Sony's charger you have to plug it into the wall and then use a USB cable to connect your camera to the charger. This charger plugs right into the wall and the battery plugs right into it. SO much more convenient than having to keep track of an extra cord (especially while on vacation)! On top of that, this charger has a light on it that shows it's charging. The light goes from red to orange to green as it charges...so you can keep track of the progress. I only just received this product, but so far I am VERY impressed with it. I am planning to go on a one week vacation soon...and take A LOT of pictures, so I will see how this set holds up and update my review when I get back. Update: Two and a half years later and these batteries are still going strong. They are very dependable. I would definitely buy this set again if I needed to.

This set of two batteries and a charger was purchased for a newly purchased camera (Sony WX80). The batteries charged very quickly from the direct A/C plug-in unit. The charger is compact enough to bring along while traveling. The A/C prongs flip out from the main body to plug into a standard wall socket. I was pleased that the batteries inserted very easily into the charger tray and held securely against the charger's spring loaded contact pins while charging in a vertical position on the wall. The LED display light at the top of the charger (the plastic window labeled "CHARGE") turns from orange to green to indicate when the batteries are fully charged. These batteries hold more power than the original 600mAh battery supplied by Sony (which was also made in China). It was not stated anywhere on the Amazon page, and perhaps it is of little concern, but the complete kit comes nicely packed in a corrugated carton from the manufacturer, which was then placed in a shipping carton by the Amazon shippers. All parts in the original box were individually bagged or rolled in bubble-wrap to prevent damage. Also, the batteries were each packed in form fitting clear plastic (vinyl?) storage boxes which snap securely closed - great for storing the spares in your camera case and will keep the terminals clean while adding very little bulk. (see my photo) Cost for this complete kit was less than for a single, lower powered, battery from Sony. With a small additional purchase I even received FREE shipping through Amazon and my purchases arrived quickly (within one week).

Update: I've been using these batteries for five months and have ran into no heat issues. I would consider my original review comments below only applicable if you're actually continuously shooting video for a full 29 minutes. I use the camera to film my son's basketball games. So I'm only recording for 5-10 minutes at a time (turning my camera off during timeouts). I swap out batteries at half time. With that usage pattern, these batteries have worked flawlessly. They seem to last just as long as the original Sony battery. Original Review: These batteries work in my Sony CyberShot DSC-WX220 camera. However, testing shows that they get hotter than my Sony battery when shooting video. I took continuous 1080p 60fps video with each battery. First video goes for 29min then second video runs until battery is depleted. Tests also show that the Wasabi Power batteries do not last any longer than the Sony battery. Here are the results: Sony: 51min Wasabi Power #1: 48 min Wasabi Power #2: 52min I never had any temperature warning with the Sony battery. The battery depleted at 22min of the second video. The first Wasabi Power battery was near depletion at 19min of second video when temperature warning icon showed up. I turned the camera off at that point. I thought it might have to do with testing back-to-back so I waited a day to test the second Wasabi Power battery. With that battery, the temperature warning icon showed up at 29min of first video so I turned it off for a half hour. Then I started second video and at 23min of second video the temperature warning icon showed up and within seconds the battery was depleted and the camera turned off. I also tested charging from a fully depleted state. These are the results: Sony: 91 min Wasabi Power #1: 75 min Wasabi Power #2: 83 min The Sony battery was charged in the camera connected to a 500mA USB power adapter. The Wasabi Power batteries were charged using the supplied charger. There is not a significant difference between the two. I did not test the Sony battery in the supplied charger as I'm still a little paranoid about it's quality.

Well, so far the batteries are great and I will be updating this review frequently while I have the product so keep watching if your in doubts. Pros: -Works -Cheaper -Charger + Car Charger is a bonus -So far no issues -Euro adapter very nice to have for visiting foreign countries Cons: -No noticeable difference in battery life between wx9's stock ones. -No noticeable CHARGE TIME difference between stock batteries. -Charger is flimsy, car charger adapter is short, and the adapter is cheap aswell. -Made in china, cells may be made in Japan but this is not made in japan..felt tricked there as they didn't post the back of the battery. Summary: Great batteries, prepare to not be blown away as these are batteries that are just regular batteries not anything special. The charger is an nice addition but do not count on it lasting forever its flimsy and not as big as pictured same with adapter, and car charger.

The price is very good at the price, less than the price of two Sony OEM batteries but a PLUS you get the charger and car adapter. The only tricky part is the capacity: some one calculates that Wasabi one has larger capacity than OEM one but in real world the difference is not much bigger. I used the both fully charged batteries of the one came with the DSC-WX80 and one from Wasabi to record the video in AVCHD format, the camera's highest resolution. Each battery lasts only about 1 hour though I have to resume the recording about every 30 minutes which I think it is sort of limitation of the size of video file about 2G. I tried twice and got same result. This is the only reason I take one star away. The charger is great too. It is very convenient to charge the batteries with LED indication.

I got this battery and charger for my SONY DSC-TX30 for my Iceland trip thinking I would probably need a few spare batteries for the trip and not wanting to pay the big buck for a SONY spare ones. One thing I like about the package is that it came with a charger for the batteries. The camera came with a USB cord that would require you to charge the battery/camera through the cord. This little charger allows me to charge it anywhere with a power outlet which is great. Another thing I like is that it came with a little European plug. You probably wouldn't realize how useful it is if you are only traveling within the US. It is such a bonus for traveling in Europe because normally people only bring one plug for the trip, well, you have your cellphone, your computer, your hair dryer, .... you get the point. Having it's own little plug for the charger is definitely a big bonus. The batteries worked just like the one that came with my SONY camera, I had no problem popping it in and out of the camera. Each of the batteries also came with its own little case so I feel okay just dropping it into my pocket. I didn't notice any different on battery life between those and my SONY battery. I just snap snap snap away all day long.

Not sure if it's my camera or the battery, but the battery indicator on the camera shows 100% one minute, 50% the next, the 66% another minute later. Every time I turn on the camera, I get a different reading. This does not happen when I use the stock battery. Perhaps the camera does not understand the higher mAh of the battery. I do like that it comes with the European adapter and 12v auto adapter. If I find the battery lasts longer that the stock battery, I'll update my rating to 4 stars. Update 1/22/2015: Still using these batteries, although not that often. In my experience, they work about as well as the Sony OEM batteries, but not any better.

this set worked perfectly for a little camera we'd bought years ago - amazing what you can find on amazon if you look. This came complete with batteries and worked perfectly as we made our way across France

Work great as extra batteries for my Camera. I bought these since I lost my original battery and charger, but I have since found it and still continue to use these so that I always have backups. I don't notice much difference between these and the original battery.

I used it at the Masters Golf Tournament. I would buy it again, you know when you go to the Masters you need back up battery? You end up taking alot of photos. It charged perfectly in my car and the hotel. Arthur .
