LOUSY-CHEAP WORTHLESS FITTING ....
This fitting does NOT have tapered threads! BEWARE ... !!! I can't imagine trying to sell junk like this ...

What can you say about a pipe union? It was 1/2" NPT (as advertised) and it mated properly with all my other 1/2" NPT fittings. Oh, and it appeared to be made from 304 stainless (also, as advertised).

It is very pretty, and it works, but be careful.
Internal threads were cut too deep necessitating many wraps of teflon tape to stop leaks. External threads used to connect the two halves of the union were razor sharp yielding many small cuts on my hands. Wear gloves.
