Skip HopVersa Expandable Diaper Bag, Black

I am the mom who never carried a diaper bag. I always put my first daughter's necessities into my three-compartment purse. I liked having the ability to not look like a "mom", remaining stylish but ready to go with my kid.My daughter is now 18 months old and still requires diapers, wipes, juice cup and snacks. I also now have another infant who is now 10 weeks old, who also requires diapers, wipes, bottle and ready-to-go formula container. I could no longer fit all of their things into my purse without bursting the seams and feeling completely disorganized.So, I purchased this diaper bag. It's in a sleek black instead of those funky diaper bag prints. It has the shoulder sling which makes it easy to grab, easy to carry with two babies in your arms, and asexual enough that my husband will carry it too.I use the main zippered compartment with its four large pockets for separating their diaper sizes, snacks and formula/bottle needs. With all the pockets and the size of the zippered compartment, I feel organized and have no trouble locating what I need- in the limited amount of time that I have to grab it with two infants asking for my attention.I use the second large zippered compartment for the Mommy essentials- wallet and glucose meter. I like keeping my stuff separate from theirs because it makes shopping easier and I don't want my needles mixing with their things for safety reasons.The front two zippered compartments are also essential. They don't add any bulk to the bag. One zippered compartment I keep Mommy's things like make up, back-up syringes / insulin and aspirin. The other front zippered compartment I keep crayons, Ora-gel teething cream, and Desitin.The tiny front zippered pocket I use for my cell phone. This is essential because I need to know where my phone is and have easy access to it whenever I'm out of the house. It's the only way that anyone can get into contact with me because we also don't have a house phone. Again, I feel organized and I don't need to panic trying to grab the phone when it's ringing amidst all of the other things that I need to carry with me in this bag.Then, to top it all off, there's an additional two front pockets. I usually put my older daughter's juice into one of those, and possibly a pre-made formula bottle in the other. The pockets are easy to slip things in and out of, plus they still don't add much bulk to the bag.There are side straps tethered to each side of the bag. At first, I didn't think they were important because you have the large strap that goes across the top. But, I find myself grabbing the bag by the side straps without even meaning to when I'm trying to pull my purse off the floor of the car. The side straps are actually quite useful.The large strap across the top is in canvas material, so it's durable. I have it on the smallest setting so the bag swings gently at my hips. It's super easy to grab. I hated having purses with double straps because one of the straps always inevitably fell down my arm, making the bag awkward to have on my shoulder. Having just one strap across the top was important to me for easy use and easy access. With just one strap, you're not constantly fiddling with it to gain access to the contents of the bag, like I did with double-strapped purses.So, all in all, I adore this bag. I've had it for nearly two months now and use it every single day. it completely serves all of my needs, looks stylish and I don't feel like a stodgy "mom" type when I use it, even when the girls aren't with me.

I am not going to lie, I have 5 diaper bags and ONE child. I am somewhat of a diaper bag hoarder! (Same with strollers, buuut that's another story) I have 2 duffle bag style diaper bags which were okay for when my 20 month old was a baby but now they are huge and it would look like I am staying a week at Disney World if I toted those things around. Then I bought a Carters Travel Light Mini Diaper Bag which I used (and loved!) for quite some time. It is SMALL but holds what I needed plus a sippy cup on one side and my Camelbak water bottle on the other side (bonus!). Anyways lets face it, the carters bag isn't the cutest thing ever and although useful I grew tired of that bag. Next was a JJ Cole Mode diaper bag (in mulberry patch, if it matters) which is so cute and I did like the bag for a short time. It has nice straps but I found it to be too narrow of bag for my liking. What I do like it for is the summer time because it holds sun screen on the side pocket, its bright and would hold a small towel or two and some bathing suits. After I stopped using that one, I went BACK to my carters bag, grew tired of it again... see the pattern here? So when I saw this cute bag I was excited! I thought the price was good on amazon and the reviews seemed positive. I just got it in about 3 days ago and so it hasn't been put through the test of time yet. But I CAN tell you that I love the set up- it has two pockets in the front that hold a sippy AND my camelbak (yay!!) and inside I have 5 size 4 diapers, a big pack of wipes, tons of snacks, gum, my wallet, keys and there is tons of space for lots more. The bag is NOT as narrow as my jj cole, so I can get to the bottom a lot easier. I like the fabric too, its hard to tell from the picture in my opinion but its kind of a silky fabric that is easy to clean. I would know this because it already got a huge sticky mark on it from something on the kitchen table (gross) and easily wiped off! Its big but not HUGE which is nice. For our family it would work even with two children, but I don't pack extra clothes in any of my diaper bags. I keep those in a zip lock bag in our trunk because we almost NEVER use them. Its definitely fashionable with out being flashy... i love the black color & the blue inside is super fun. The design is great. It comes with stroller straps that can stay attached to the bag until you are ready to use them (which is really nice because my jj cole does not have that option. The stroller straps are just floating around the bag somewhere) I know I haven't used this bag for long at all, so I plan to write an update in a few months! Hope this helps!

Acquisto da anni le borse skip hop in quanto non sono solo belle come borse fasciatoio ma sono fantastiche anche per tutti i giorni. Tessuto lavabile con spugna colori belli e belle finiture in eco pelle! sono molto molto soddisfatta del mio acquisto. ogni borsa Skip Hop ha le sue qualità e per questa sono le tasche. Mille tasche e taschine per organizzare tutto il contenuto della borsetta. consigliatissima!!

Pas super satisfaite du sac (d'ailleurs rendu), très bien au niveau de la qualité, du système d'accroche, plus les nombreuses poches et rangements. ..mais faire bien attention les couleurs ne sont pas les mêmes que sur la photo,le noir est marron , les motifs sont beiges et le rouge est orange, ce qui donne un sac un peu" mamie"...

I wanted a normal looking bag that doesn't look like a massive changing bag. This fits to my need perfectly. I find external pockets very useful to carry my car keys, lip gloss, etc. when the expanding zip is closed bag is not that big, therefore can be used as a normal hand bag but when it is open you can even store baby blankets inside. The delivery is also fast.

For my first child I only had a cheap diaper bag. By the time I was done with it, it was ripped and torn everywhere, definitely well used. I read up on this bag a LOT since I loved the look and the biggest complaint I found was in regards to the stitching coming apart. I decided to look up Skip Hop's policy on replacing defective materials and low and behold their policy is that they will replace any bag still owned by the original purchaser if it breaks due to factory defect. Finding this out, I finally decided to order. When I received my bag I decided to give it a really good look-over and I did find several spots where the stitching is off a little. So I figured before I actually use the bag I'll take pictures of all those spots as proof that that's how my bag came. I've had it for about a month now and it's still holding up great (and stuffed full!) but if the stitching comes out in a month or a year, I'm confident that I will be able to have it replaced based on their policy and others' reviews of Skip Hop customer service. The other features of the bag I love are how big it is, the awesome stroller straps, the number of pockets to help me organize everything, the length of the adjustable shoulder strap (I'm 5'9 and sometimes find bag straps to be on the short side) and the beautiful blue lining. I would DEFINITELY recommend this bag to anyone considering it!!
