This product is a natural supplement designed to support the cat's respiratory and ocular health. Like all supplements, it's not designed to treat, cure or prevent any specific ailment or condition. I did purchase it, however, to support the health of my aging cats. I notice their eyes don't look as teary as often. To administer, I crumble the pieces and mix with wet food. They consume it easier that way. When I gave it separately as a treat, my cats ignored it. I don't know if it was just them or what. But since these treats are easy to crumble, I just mix in it with their food and they take it that way just fine. Probably makes their food taste better, too, I think.

My boyfriend and I have a 10 yr old cat who has had chronic respiratory issues since he was a kitten. We've been told he has allergies and asthma. He's tested negative for all feline viral infections. There's not much we can do other than keep the home free of dust and cigarette smoke. I also try to keep a humidifier running in the areas he spends the most time. My kitty is long-haired and part Maine Coone, so he is large and has a lot of fur that can trap allergens. The poor guy is forever sneezing, and his eyes are often draining. I have been at my wit's end constantly wiping down the walls, floors, furniture, etc. from his "snot." I'm sure anyone who has a cat with this problem can relate. It's difficult to keep up on. I feel so bad for the big guy. Our vet recommended we start giving him L-lysine as a supplement. Liquids have to be force-fed. He's not one to chew tablets. He's an older cat who prefers soft foods and is missing a few teeth. He also generally will not eat crunchy treats. These haven't been a miracle cure or quick fix, but they do help. There was some improvement after about 2 weeks. I first noticed less drainage from his eyes. He seemed to be sneezing a bit less. After a month, there was a noted difference in the amount of nasal drainage. The sneezing continues. I am going to keep feeding him these treats and hope he continues to improve. I don't expect these to cure him, but they have proven beneficial. All I can say is be patient. Just like in a human, "vitamins" don't work overnight. These treats are inexpensive. If they help your FurBaby , even just a little, they're worth it. If my kitty continues to improve, I will update to 5 stars.

I got these to help one of my cats get past a congestive issue. By themselves, they don't appeal to him at all - and he's not hard to please. I have to grind it into a powder form (think pill grinder) and sprinkle it in his morning and evening doses of his wet food. He still gives me that look that says, "If I didn't like my wet treats so much, I wouldn't eat this." I can't speak to how well its actually working but I can say that he's not sneezing and wheezing as much, now that I'm finally getting his full doses into him. I will be keeping liquid lysine on hand, from now on. Three stars because it does seem to be helping, somewhat. Cats are finicky creatures, so what works for some may not work for others. Unfortunately, the taste and texture just aren't cutting it for mine.

I'm not sure if these work or not as I have only been giving them to my cat for 4 days. She shows improvement but I also put an air purifier by where she hangs out the most. I rated them 5 stars based on how much she enjoys them. I have tried multiple treats/supplements and she has not liked most of them and the one she does like is a liquidy gel that's messy and after months I only saw minimal improvement. My cat will walk away from many treats but gets excited the minute I open the cabinet door for these. The back said 2 treats for a 10 pound cat so I give her 3 a day since she is 17 pounds.

I’ve been using this product for almost 2 years since I got my fur babies. 1 of my cats tends to have upper respiratory and eye infections and I give this to her daily. I’ve noticed that by using this, it has significantly reduced recurrences. I buy the bulk pack and give her 2 each morning and it has really helped as part of her wellness regimen.

My cat had started having major breathing problems. She was having to use an inhaler around 8-10 times per day. She’s now on a better inhaler and has been on these treats for 6 months now and will go days without needing her inhaler. She absolutely loves them and those are the only treats she gets. We first bought them from our vet which cost $40 for 1 bag. I looked them up on Amazon. Now I purchase 5 bags for a little more than that. I definitely feel it’s absolutely worth the money.

Original review: Been buying these for years. They help my kitty's watering eyes. He doesn't really care for them so I have to crumble and mix in his wet food (my other kitty will eat them though). I purchased the 5pk and unfortunately all five packs expire in less than just three months. They are also hard. (I assume because near expiring). Disappointed. Now I feel rushed to use all 5 packs of harden chews before expiration date. Do better please.

My cat loves these! He looks forward to them every morning. They have seemed to have helped some with his upper respiratory issues. The delivery is quick and the packaging is done with such care. I will be a regular customer!

I have a older kitty and he gets cold and breathing difficulty all the time these chews did seem to help him some. Though he did not like the taste very much. I cut them and put them in his food. He ate no problem then. I was impressed with a over the counter prod.
