Alpha Skin Care Revitalizing Body Lotion with 12% Glycolic AHA, 12 Ounce

I use this brand (Alpha Hydrox) facial lotion regularly for body acne and thought I'd try this because it works out slightly less expensive and is specifically formulated for body use. While I believe it is equally effective as the face lotion, I don't like the feeling it leaves on my skin. While the face lotion dries quickly and has a soft smooth feel on the skin, the body lotion doesn't dry easily and sticks to my clothes. I prefer using the facial lotion on my body, despite the slightly higher cost.

Love love love this lotion! First of all, there are several similar products on the market and it is the most reasonably priced even though the concentration of AHA is not the highest I have found. Other products are way more expensive and contain less amount of product compared to this one. The AHA concentration in this one is also higher than some of other products on market. I love it for the price, the size, and the good AHA concentration. Additionally, it really helps with the bumps on my arms and legs, which is the main reason I bought this. Using it reduces the amount of KP I have so I am enjoying this product. It absorbs quite well into the skin and is not sticky. However, I am one of those people who literally use up lotion so quickly like I bath in it. So far, I have used it for a few times and I can see the amount going down quickly. Maybe it's just me. Therefore, I use an oil mixed with the lotion to save some money and also make it glide easier on my skin. The lotion is unscented but if there is, I would say there is a tiny tiny little smell of yogurt. I am not sure if combining this lotion with oil like I did altered the smell or not. I still think it is unscented. Sometimes, I just think of yogurt when I bring my nose close to my skin I don't know why lol. Did I mention how much I love it for making my skin so smooth? Please come out with a bigger size because I need this in my life (with flaky dry skin) and provides a pump with the product. It is hard to keep squeezing the bottle while my hands are slippery. My bottle looks pretty ugly now from all the squeezing.

Love the lotion, hate the bottle. Impossible to get lotion out, needs pump, will not buy again until it comes with a pump!

I've only been using this lotion for about a week now and I did break out which means basically my face became very flaky. My face and it burn and it is scared. I am told to give it at least three weeks to clear up everything it is fake it's not greasy and it absorbs into my skin very well very well moisturizing.

Made me break out horribly. I know that this happens with retinol,but it was so bad that I couldn't go to work with it continuing to break me out so badly. I work in a lighting store, so you can imagine that this would be embarrassing. It did seem to clear up my blackheads a lot but it brought so much to the surface that it was just too unsightly. Maybe if I worked from home or was living the woods for a few months, I think it would be good. I did use this every night for a month.

I bought the lotion because I have the so called "chicken skin" on my legs and arms, and this product is supposed to be really good for it. Now I have used it every morning and night after shower for a few days, it leaves the skin feeling very soft and moist, a little sticky, but not unbearable, maybe it's summer. But my main concern is that the lotion I got is so thick, the only way I can get it out is to stick my picky in to scoop some out. I have tried to shake it, pump the bottle upside down, nothing worked! Now I just started using it, my picky can still reach the lotion, I wonder when my picky can no long reach it, do I need to prepare a special tool, such as a stick to get it out??? Or maybe the bottle I have just doesn't have the right texture?

I have been having serious skin problems for about 2 years now. I have acne, scarring, and my skin has rough spots. I have tried so many different remedies to try and correct the problem, but nothing seems to help and it just gets worse. I was getting really depressed about my skin. So I decided to give this lotion a try since it had some good reviews, and frankly I felt like I had nothing else to lose at this point. I kid you not, after one use I already felt that my skin was smoother. After a few more uses there was definitely a difference in texture and it had cleared up some of my acne. I have been using it for 6 days now, and I'm in love!! My skin is doing a lot better and I think my scars are lightening up. I am going to continue using it and hopefully update this review with even more good news about my results. There were a few reviews that I read about this lotion being really strong and burning their skin. Personally I feel like it has a bit of a medicated feel to it, where you can sort of feel it working. The first time I applied it to my legs, it was after shaving. It felt tingly sort of like when you go into the ocean to soon after shaving and the salt water tingles your skin. It wasnt painful though. And I actually didn't get razor bumps or anything like I usually do after using this. I think this lotion just might be my saving grace!

Really greasy and that puts me off applying this product. As for the effects, maybe it is effective if you are consistent with the application as AHA is proven effective in exfoliating skin. I didn't like also that it contains petrolatum, maybe that explains the texture. Plus, it smells like a glue for me
