Not worthy.
I was torn between getting this, or buying a Samsung T3 SSD.Went with that one instead, it's a bit more costly and isn't waterproof but then again I was never going to go swimming with a drive in the first place.And am writing this just to inform the ill-informed, do not waste money on this.T3 is miles faster, with USB C and backward compatibility with 3.0. And the drop protection is literally 2 meters.And I believe it'll just keep on going faster, as am currently using it just with the 3.0 and when I have to upgrade my Macbook Pro the 3.1 speeds will be drool worthy. Also, I believe SSD's are the future, and it's time to let go of the hdds.

Great product. Just what the doctor ordered for my photos on the move. Compact, rugged and fast. Colour means you'll never leave it behind and the integrated cable is very very handy. No rummaging about in the bottom of my bag for the cable!!

perfect for my Apple MacBook TimeMachine backups
perfect for my Apple MacBook TimeMachine backups. no external power required, This is my second (I got a Lacie 1Tb a year ago), so I have one for home and one for office, I'm gonna get a third for travel. You might think that's overkill but data loss is no joke and if I'm away I and my MacBook is stolen I will want another + all my data instantly. Yes I backup online too but recovery from the club is slow. My digital life is that important.

I've been using LaCie for all my work and also personal use. I used to buy other cheaper hardrive but the durability of these are next to none
