AMAZING RESULTS!
I purchased this to create an antiqued copper look to an existing white drop ceiling grid in a bathroom we were remodeling. I had purchased Faux Tin Ceiling Tiles with a Weathered Copper look (Drop In) and really wanted to not have to replace the grid. All I can say is - WOW!!! The photo's speak for themselves. A little goes a long way. This was done with one bottle each of the Modern Masters ME-149 Reactive Metallic Paint Copper, Modern Masters PA901-04 Aging Solution Green Patina and Modern Masters AM203-04 Metal Effects Primer. Outstanding product!

This is the primer - it doesn't change color
I used this primer under the bronze effect topcoat to paint a garden trellis. It looks great! (Photo added of the base of the trellis) I can only assume that the people giving this one star and saying it "does nothing" are confused about what this particular product is. This is the primer that goes under the color-changing (oxidizing) paint. The primer does not change color (oxidize). That is the point of the primer – to block the oxidation from the topcoat getting to the substrate underneath.

Works for me!
I cannot comment on durability as this was my first project using this primer and coordinating paint, and it is still fresh. The label recommends two coats of this primer, which is what I did and the Metal Pint went on beautifully. Also I think maybe the color of the primer adds depth to the color of the metal paint, although I can't say for sure because I have not yet tried a project without the primer. The five star rating is due to the fact that the metal paint easily covered the item with even color and lots of depth, which gives a very realistic appearance, and think that is at least in part due to the primer.

Solid purchase
Easy to work with - applied two coats of primer as directed. Very happy with results.

Great paint!
I love this paint. I used it on our laundry room sink that my husband made for me using a steel barrel. Super easy to use and fun to watch “paint dry”. Lol

Prime acts a barrier to painting your jewelry or other things.
Use this to prime my jewelry before I apply spray paint to them after they start tarnishing.

Works Great! This Primer is necessary for great COPPER blueing results.
I used this on a metal outdoor light project and it was a SUCCESS! The primer is somewhat thick and smells a little funny, but the whole process is fun to do and my outdoor pendant lights look like a million bucks!
