Dilmah Premium Ceylon Black Tea – 100% Pure Single Origin Tea with Finely Balanced Richness & Aroma – Freshness Sealed in Resealable Zip Lock Pouch, 400g (14.1 oz)

Read the reviews and look at the pictures. This is not loose leaf tea. It is finely ground tea. It is amazing and delicious and I really enjoy it (even though I have more expensive and fancier teas and yadda, yadda, blah, blah...) I started out unhappy with this, tried to make a cup with a strainer and it was not what I was looking for but I could not deny that even as over-strong as I made it it was smoooth and good. Really good. My best results come from pouring a tea spoon into a small pot and letting it steep for a bit - I then our off the top and use a strainer. It is magnificent. I have also used the kind of tea bags I fill myself and they were OK but I should have weighed the tea. (It is in the instructions, I think 2 grams. I use a little tea submarine in cold water for iced tea and it is now my favorite tea for that. It is so smooth I nearly got high last time I drank it, I drank so much. The fact is, if you are on here looking for new tea to try this is one you may want to pick up. It may not impress the fancy tea fanciers and it is a very good cup of tea. Caveat emptor: you may drink more than you planned.

Well packaged. The bag has a nice fermented aroma. States it's BOPF, and it's very broken OPF. Brews cleanly. Tea has a nice, clear color and a very delicate aroma. The tea is soft, floral, and vegetal, with a hint of sweetness. Good value for the price.

I first encountered this when some Ceylon friends who were returning home after a visit gifted 1/2 a bag to me. It was old and less than "fresh" but I really enjoyed how strong it was. Not as bitter as Assam, but equal amount of stimulation per cup. If you are looking for a strong tea to wake you up in the morning, or a tea which you can re-use for a second cup late on, I would recommend this tea.

This is not good. It's a "looseleaf" tea, but it really is "dust" as another reviewer stated. So much so, that the tea cannot be strained, even with a fine mesh. It would need a coffee filter. So it makes a murky tea, which after drinking, gave me a very uncomfortable feeling like my heart and breathing were loosing control. So with any typical strainer, you will end up ingesting this tea. NOT GOOD. I'm past the return date, so I feel cheated by this purchase. I may try to brew at a lower temperature, let it settle, then strain through a coffee filter, and dilute it a lot, What a hassle. I have liked Dilmah tea in the past, but this one is a loser.

Good daily drinker, the only downside for me is the particles are really fine and I get a lot of dregs through my stainless steel strainers.

This Dilmah Tea brought over from the Tea States in Sri Lanka is the real deal. Want to half milk tea like you did when you went to Sri Lanka? This is the tea to buy. Or any other kind of Tea, this one is very delicious! My wife and I bought one bag, and within a week decided to buy another because we had it almost gone already!!!

When I buy loose leaf tea I expect something more like what you get with Chinese teas. This is a very fine powdered tea, not actual loose leaves like the name might suggest. Still, tastes like the tea bags, so I guess it is what it is. I had a friend who often joked that tea bags are made out of what they sweep off the factory floor after packaging the loose leaf teas, and this evokes that memory.

First saw a reference to this tea in a New Zealand mystery and decided to try it. Great choice! Nice, strong tea, dark color. Bought the loose tea instead of the tea bags and this worked well for me. Highly recommend for the flavor and price!

Best tea in the world - leave to infuse for 4 or 5 mins. I now have a selection of single cup tea infusers to use the leaf tea.

Excellent! The only problem is, that it’s not in stock that often. But great flavor and strength.

You can see the state of the tea in the photo. It’s just dust. It is not broken orange pekoe loose leaf tea. I am not even sure what to do with it now.

Love tea in the morning and nothing better than a cup of Ceylon tea!!! Can never to do the tea bag, I want the real deal. Great for my voice and to stay warm in the cold months. Lovely lovely authentic taste!

This tea is junk, pure unadulterated junk. Dilmah created a well regarded reputation for themselves decades ago and now is been riding on it ever since while the quality has plummeted and the people at the top line their pockets with money and leave the farmers with scraps. I refuse to buy this tea ever again, there's a multitude of loose leaf teas of far better quality and more readily available.
