The Hyper Drive is one fantastic product that is well built, small, very portable, and eliminates the need for several adaptors that would be required to allow one to use the new Mac type C ports. All 4 ports on my new MacBook Pro are type C which will not connect to any of my other hardware. This little jewel fixes all that and eliminate a lot of wires and adapters that otherwise would be required. Took it out of the box, connedted it to my Mac and everything worked fine. Love it.

My son familiarized me with the value of this tool as he had a similar one on his older Mac Air. This hub is so critical as the Mac Air intentionally is port limited for space reasons. This particular version of a hub fits snugly against the edge of the laptop to provide true ease of use with maximum connectivity to the laptop. The build quality was excellent as was the packaging of the device. Great purchase! Couldn't be happier with the cost and the available port selections.

Super convenient and works like a charm. I keep my mouse plugged into it and it does great for charging. This is my second one, but it took four years to wear out so I'd say definitely worth it, especially if you are hard on your electronic gadgets.

The product seems to be pretty good but did not fit my exact use case. I use my MBP on a stand in clamshell mode. The ethernet port sits at bottom and hard to run a cable to it that way. I can turn it upside down but then I will not have easy access to it as my machine sits behind my monitors. The other item and I should have looked a little more closely at the feedback is that you cannot run dual monitors off the USB-C ports, only one will work. So, I am returning the item to cont my search.

This is a nice addition to my Macbook Pro 16 i9

Pros: I've been using this hub for about a month now, and have left it plugged into my 16-inch MacBook Pro all that time. I've tested all the ports, and they work as advertized. I haven't been able to test USB 3 speeds, but the USB 2 thumb drive works identically whether connected to the hub, or connected to an Apple Thunderbolt - USB dongle. This will work on either side of the MacBook, taking up the two ports on that side, but since you get one 100W Thunderbolt port, this is not an issue. The second Thunderbolt port is 60W. The hub doesn't make contact with the desk while plugged in, but this is a bonus because the Gigabit port has a trap door that must be raised before you can plug a cable in. Because the hub doesn't fit flush to the table, it means you can use the Ethernet port regardless of which side the hub is plugged into. It is a good, but not perfect color match for the space gray MacBook. It appears to be a shade darker. Cons: The device ships with virtually no documentation. The product description on Amazon is more thorough than what comes with the device. It is pretty easy to accidentally pull the hub out when the HDMI cable is connected, causing disruptions with the video out. I suspect that's true of any of these types of hubs. If you plug it into the right side, it completely covers the headphone port. It's also pricey, costing twice what a lot of other hubs cost. As advertized, the USB ports cannot run a SuperDrive, nor can they charge an iPad. So I still really need a Thunderbolt - USB dongle.

I purchased this hub to use with my new MacBook Pro, and I must say, it's fantastic. The build quality is excellent, and it even looks like Apple made it with a similar material feel and color. The port options are fantastic, and I love that there are several permutations of this dock to fit various needs. I chose this one since it has the ethernet port, which also works great. I do worry a bit about the durability of that port as it is plastic unlike the rest of the dock which is aluminum. The only complaint I have is that the hub is a little thinner than my computer which means when sitting on a desk there is some space below it for it to flex and put some stress on the ports. I read another review where the user added rubber feet and I've elected to do the same.

Very nice port replicator for MacBook Pro. Possibly the best one at the moment. All ports work fine and to the specification. Beware, HDMI port gives you 4K resolution only at 30Hz (you can actually see lower quality comparing to 60Hz). I see no reason for that old port to exist on this nice device. Another observation is that this drive is thinner than the MacBook pro itself so it hangs in the air when inserted properly. Doesn't cause an issue for me now but can see how it may become an issue in the future.

Good product but it is overpriced.

Avec un ordi ne possédant que 2 ports usb C, cet accessoire se révèle indispensable si vous avez besoin de brancher plusieurs périphériques. Son seul défaut selon moi (et qui lui coûte sa 5e étoile) est que lorsque l’on débranche un accessoire branché en usb, on risque fortement de débrancher le dock…

Perfect als je je usb-c poorten wil omzetten naar poorten die wat meer gebruikt zijn. Verder vind ik de locatie van de ethernet poort fijn maar dat zal vooral op eigen voorkeur aankomen. Ja hij is prijzig maar dan krijg je ook wat.

É super prático e bom, as entradas são justas o que faz com que elas se mantenham ligadas sempre, sem aquelas folgas de um hub mais fajuto.
