Just as I expected
Wow this boxset came in the mail really unexpectedly and boy was I not disappointed when it did.Firstly, the actual box of this box set is amazing and I could've read all of the different little quotes on it for ages, except, there were books inside. The books were hardcover and beautiful and there were signatures from John Green in Looking For Alaska and The Fault In Our Stars just as I'd expected. The actual content of the books are amazing. It is an understatement to say the John Green has written 4 of possibly the best YA books of our time in LFA, TFIOS, An Abundance of Katerines and Paper Towns. The stories are so full of content and meaningful life lessons and hilarious dialogue that it is impossible not to compare these books to the best of the best of YA writing--like JK Rowling or Rick Riordan or Cath Crowley or Melina Marchetta. And just like these amazing authors, his books resonate to the reader and I can guarantee that these books will be loved. The actual content of the stories in the books are so different, though, that it's sometimes to believe that it is the same author's writing. But you can bet that in every book you will cry, you will laugh, and you will absorb.

If you need some convincing, here it is.
Are you a nerdfighter? Have been meaning to read these books? You have them in paperback already? You already have Looking for Alaska in hardcover, but unsigned? No matter what your situation, if you're tempted, don't hesitate to get this boxed set.First, one could look at the slipcase indefinitely and find something new over and over again. The dust jackets have shiny, indented and raised parts, rather than the usual stark and flat kind of jacket you see on most books. The books themselves are gorgeous and have an especially cool feature that Yesenia hinted at above. The pages before the bulk of the text begins are illustrative, which is a nice touch. I've noticed that in mine, the copy of Looking for Alaska doesn't have a Printz Award marking on its dust jacket (the pictures I've seen of other sets indicate that it's supposed to), but I'm content with it being a bit special. Looking for Alaska and The Fault in Our Stars are signed as they're supposed to be and there's hardly a knock on any of them, despite getting all the way to Australia.I couldn't be happier. ^_^

Couldn't be happier.
I live in Mexico and the package was said to be delivered from May 17th and June 7th, so when my dad came in saying "Your books are here!" I couldn't help but to shout out loud "what?!". I just couldn't believe it.I opened it and there it was, a beautiful box designed by Karen Kavett with the four books I've been longing to have for a long time.Actually, I was very nervous and anxious because I'd read in customer reviews that some boxes didn't come with autographed books, so I had passed every night, since I ordered this, praying to French The Llama that my books would come autographed (not kidding). In fact, I bet myself a good life that one of the books was going to be signed with a purple sharpie; what's my surprise when I see my TFioS copy signed with a green sharpie and Looking For Alaska, YES!, signed in purple. So yeah, this was kind of the best day for me.Thanks to John Green for existing, and sorry if I have any mistakes 'cause english isn't my first language. DFTBA!

Can't Go Wrong With This Gift
I bought this for my 15 year old daughter and she LOVED it. John Green is her favorite author next to the Harry Potter series. These books are great and have been made into movies due to their popularity. I have read parts of them and I can see why they are so popular. Mr. Green is a very good writer. By the way in case you don't already know, he has a Youtube channel with a wide variety of topics covered that is very much worth your time to check out. He does a weekly blog that is a communication with his brother and it's pretty interesting. Very popular too.In case you didn't know he was a school teacher, maybe still is, and he started branching out into media and has very successfully ventured into the big time of several areas. It's quite a story and I'm sure there will be biographies written about John Green if there aren't already.

Physical condition of the paperback books.
I debated whether or not to give three or four stars. Not on the writing - John Green is amazing. (Truth be told, I've already read two of these and wanted my own copies because I would pick them up again.) Now let's talk about the condition of the books, I ordered paperback. Most people are complaining about the box it comes in, but mine is fine. A little bent, but the books still fit, and I'm putting them on a bookshelf anyway. No biggy. Here's where my concerns are.A.) The bottom of each book is a little worn. Not awful, they're paperback and they were shipped. It's just not very aesthetically pleasing.B.) The Fault In Our Stars cover is about a centimeter shorter than the pages. This was clearly on purpose, but it's most likely going to annoy me when I read it.C.) The most IMPORTANT and CONCERNING problem - The glue job. Not all of the books are as bad, but in An Abundance of Katherines, it looks like the middle pages might fall right out when I read them. If they do, I'm absolutely asking for it to be replaced/refunded or something.
