Although this dress was just a little bigger on me than I expected, I really like it! I was looking for something that was just an easy wear for the weekends or going to the market. Really cute with a floppy hat and sunnies for summer too. I am 5'2 so it hit me mid-lower calf and wasn't really flattering for my height but I just hemmed it to my liking, which was no problem. I am a 36 B on top and it was just a wee bit more roomy than I wanted but I'm glad its loose and the sleeves are actually perfect for me. It seems really well made and sturdy material so overall I'm happy with it and would really like to try other pieces from the brand if the sizing and quality is consistent :)

Fabric- very scratchy. The image makes it look like a cotton lined dress but it is not. It seems like it would be a light weight fabric that’s breathable but it’s not. Product- what I received was an oversized piece of black fabric with buttons and an elastic waist. The fabric and elastic was very poorly sewn together. There was a small rip in the waist where the stitching didn’t connect the two pieces upon taking it out of the package. For- the top or chest part of the dress is excessively large. It’s disproportional to the bottom half. The busy part does not lay flat due to the Gaping of the elastic waist and it’s size. Delivery-this May say it’s a prime product however it took several weeks to arrive to my home and upon arrival it was a disappointing replica of the picture displayed. The package arrived from China and returning the item would be expensive so I lost money on this item. I’ve purchased a few more items from this same sender (without realizing it) and all products were disappointing in the same way. I do not suggest buying this item or any others from this seller.

CONS: I don't understand why they decided to make the buttons functional. This just means you're likely to have gaps when you move around and it's especially a problem at the waistline, which has elastic so even if the dress isn't all that tight in the waste the elastic still stretches and pulls the buttoned fabric apart and you get a super awkward gap/exposed skin. I was able to fix the gaps by sewing a few stitches here and there, but I kind of wish I'd just returned it. It was super wrinkly when I took it out of the packaging but I thought after washing it it would get better, but alas it still wrinkles a LOT and I'm not a fan of ironing--especially not a casual dress like this, so I've been drying it in the dryer whereas I normally prefer to hang dry most of my clothes. The dryer doesn't seem to be shrinking or damaging it so far, at least. PROS: I do like the style and length. It's nice it has pockets although they're not the most functional of pockets. I got the "Brick Red" color which is definitely more orange than red, but I like it. It'll be a nice fall color, as well, and should look nice with boots and a scarf/jean jacket.

Overall, I like this dress. I got it in two colors -- pink and green. First, I tried it in an XL based on the reviews saying size up. I usually wear a large in dresses that have minimal stretch because of my bust. The XL was too baggy and gave me the "sister wives" look, but it was so comfy and still cute in its own way that I'm keeping it as a beach cover-up, because paired with a swimsuit and flip flops it's a cute look and provides coverage. I re-ordered in a large and it definitely fits and flatters my figure, for the most part. I took off a star because I'm not a huge fan of the material, it feels a bit on the rough side and wrinkles easily. Not unwearable rough, but I do think this could be softer. It's also see through in pink. My final issue is that the waist rides up on me due to a slight protruding belly and tries to give me somewhat of an empire waist. It's not egregious, and doesn't ride up ALL the way to the bust, but I have to keep an eye on it and pull it down from time to time. I'm 5'7", 149 pounds with a 37" bust and a 31" waist.

I love love this dress! I have a small waist and very wide hips so I have a hard time finding clothes to accent my body type. This dress fits me perfect and looks amazing. The material is nice too. I wore this in navy when I photographed a wedding in 117°f heat in straight sunlight. I wasn’t sweating through my clothes with this dress on. It was perfectly airy and light. I also got pretty burnt on my chest and back of neck but where this dress was covering no sun at all so it was great sun protection. It’s cute and MODEST which is hard to find these days. I may order another in the next size up to have 2 of this dress.

I absolutely loved this until the second wash! So disappointing. Got it and tried it on, loved it. Washed it and there were a lot of threads loose around the seams, like fraying edges of the fabric, but it was inexpensive so not totally unexpected. I trimmed up the fraying and wore it. Washed after I wore it out and after the second wash IT SHRUNK A TON. I don’t know if this is supposed to be machine washed and dried, honestly I didn’t look at the label and I don’t care because 1) don’t make inexpensive things that can’t be washed in the machine — it’s not worth it to specialty wash cheaper items and 2) fabric should always be washed before you sew it and turn it into a garment (I sew and always double wash/dry for shrinkage before I cut out the pattern pieces). It’s a relaxed style dress so the waist and bust still fit, the bigger disappointment to me is that it went from being a knee-length dress to being a mini-dress. I’m going to snip off some of the bottom and turn it into a tunic top, use the rest of the fabric to make a skirt for my toddler. At least I can make lemonade out of the lemon...

I was so nervous ordering this dress without reviews- but I’m so glad I did! Looks exactly like photos, material is like a thick linen texture- exactly what I wanted. Be aware of a few things- it runs small, I normally wear a true-to-size large, but ordered up to an XL. It has a normal fit sizing up, I wish I could go up another size for a loose fit. Also buttons are non-functional, which it says in the description, but I’m totally okay with that. I’m 5’9, it hits just below my knees, and the neckline is the perfect height for my preference. Definitely going to order more colors!

Bought three of these for my wife and she loved the look and style. Although many reviews said the top buttons were functional, none of the buttons worked on any of the three dresses we received and they all basically functioned as a full pull-over. All of the buttons were the same on all three color dresses: made of plastic, with a sort of wooden, tortoise look to them. In the end, her only minor gripe was that instead of an elastic waist, she wished it came with a tie (in the back?) of some kind so she could cinch the waist exactly where she wanted it. SIZING: She normally wears a medium but has a larger chest, so based on other reviews, I got her the large (one review said that after trying both, the most significant difference between a M and L was the chest, otherwise they were basically the same). Once she tried them on, she agreed she'd never fit into a medium, so be sure to account for your bust size before purchase. FABRIC: The fabric is very light, and I would imagine more sheer in lighter colors, but doesn't show through in medium and darker colors at all. It's a 35% Cotton, 65% polyester blend, so if you tumble dry for about 20 minutes then hang it for the remainder, it shouldn't shrink. Like all catalog clothes, these came in plastic bags so they'll arrive very wrinkled. We tossed the one she ended up keeping in the dryer with a damp cloth for about 20 minutes and it came out great! She's also steamed them and sometimes done some touch-up ironing. For a cotton/poly blend, it does wrinkle a bit more than usual with use, but that's just the look. The trick is not getting to wrinkle TOO much because then it looks like a mess. COLOR: Whoever named these colors must be severely color blind. We bought the "Light Blue," the "Pink" and the Navy. Of those, the "Light Blue" is really sort of a sage color - like a grey green and NOT any shade of blue I've ever seen. The color depicted in the photo is relatively accurate and looked fantastic on my wife. The "Pink" is really peach - again, not pink at all which is a shame because it's very pink in the photos and is what we were hoping for, but it's definitely going back as the color has so much orange in it, it completely washes out my wife's coloring. All that said, the navy blue was indeed navy blue, but the color was so dark and the buttons are so dark, it makes them hard to see so it's difficult to appreciate the styling, or as my wife put it "it's so dark you can't see how cute the dress is." Thankfully as of this writing there are free returns. Originally the plan was to hopefully keep her favorite two, but with the pink really being peach and the navy being too dark to see "how cute the dress is", we're keeping the "light blue" because we hoped it would be that sort of green/grey sage color in the photos and it was.

I bought this dress to throw on when on holiday and I am really pleased with it. It’s like a linen material and is quite thick so you can wear it as a proper dress as opposed to a beach cover up - in these photos I am wearing a black bra and you cannot see it through the dress. I am a size 12 with big hips and got the L and it fits perfectly. It’s quite a flattering fit and feels very easy to wear. My husband couldn’t believe how cheap it was when I told him - it does look more expensive than it was. I am really tempted to order this in other colours.

The sizing fits well, it just didnt sit as well as the picture looks.

Be careful, the dress does not look like the main pictures where it is worn by the a model. It looks like the other pictures showing a dress which has an elastic waist in the front... which gives a totally different look when worn.

Short version: DO NOT BUY (especially if you have a larger chest) I was so excited about this dress but when I tried it on I was VERY disappointed. If you have big books the elastic synch for your waste is under your boobs. There is not enough material there to accommodate my chest (36 DDD). I feel like I can hulk out of it. I bough according to the size chart and according to the size I am at other stores but this dress is NOT IT. It is not flowy like the picture and the sleeves are SO SHORT. The material is okay, its a bit scratchy though. The two positive is that it was actually long enough and that it is not see through. I am 6 feet tall and it hit at my knees - appropriate for a work dress or if you're on the more regular to modest side of dressing. It's not flattering and I will be returning it.
