500W Inverter

I bought this to use in a show van to light up a few table lights . Due to the fact that I will only be using it for lights I decided that the less expensive 500 watts “non sine wave” would be fine for me. I am using a four foot extension lead and plug the lights into and It works well . I am using 3-4 watt led lamps in each of the lights and the inverter is performing as it should and lighting up the back of my showroom van . It feels sturdy and well built the 13 amp plug socket feels solid As does the cigarette socket too. Overall it feels like a good purchase and I would recommend it.

Runs almost silently, easily mounted on any wooden surface and works as expected. A little smaller than I thought it would be but that is a bonus in a Campervan

Great product that I'm using to run a mix of flourescent and (mains powered) led lights in remote stables using solar power and a battery. The load is currently only 170 watts but the spare capacity allows for expansion of the lights and other uses. I still need to check the current being drawn if the unit is left on when not in use but, contrary to what I have read, I would highlight that the cooling fan doesn't run all the time if there is no load. As my lights are switched via a light switch then if the lights are off then the fan stays off and comes on as soon as I switch the lights on. The load can be applied while the invertor is switched on, it just goes through a slow start-up which is not noticeable other than the led on the invertor goes from red to green. I did run my battery down at one point and found that the unit had it's one LED on probably indicating a battery undervoltage. The unit seems to be of good quality although I did note that the neutral terminal on my invertor turns slightly so I assume is not tightened correctly within the invertor but it's working okay and I didn't want to take the unit apart to investigate. I would also point out that if you plan to draw the 600W that the invertor can supply.then you will need good sized cables for this to minimise power loss, I used 16mm cable as I needed a 1.5 metre run from the battery. With a 600W load you will be drawing 50amps from your 12volt battery and the supplied cables looked rather thin for this. You should also note that you won't get very long operation at this load from a 100Ah battery and more importantly you'll need a good set of solar panels to keep the battery charged in winter when you need lights the most. I have not used this to power any motors such as fans as you will see from other reviews that this is NOT a pure sine wave generator (ie like our mains power) , but a modified sine wave wave (basically a square wave) and so motors may tend to run hot.

I may have been unfortunate in that the device I received was faulty, however it does not instill confidence when it doesn't work from out of the box. I deliberately purchased a 600W version as opposed to the 300W version, in order that I would have confidence in it's ability to handle the power demands of the device I was using and to give me the lee way to add an additional device, both of which would have been well within the power rating. As it was, one device connected and it twice blew the 15 amp fuse in my car. The manufacturers power rating for the device I was using is 69W, even allowing for a peak power consumption of 144W. this should have been well within the capability of the device. At the 2nd attempt the led was varying between red\green\off for a few seconds before blowing the fuse, indicating that it could not stabilise the power.

I use this unit as part of my solar panel system. I have been running this unit for four months now to power my bread maker and bake bread on a weekly basis. The solar panel charges battery packs, the batteries are used to power the Betek 600w unit. I have deliberately run down the batteries to see if the low voltage cut off works - it cuts off at 11.1 volts. The internal fan unit works well, there is no appreciable rise in temperature on the unit when supplying a 550 watt AC load. The LED on the front is instantly informative, when there is a fault it turns red. The mounting slots are useful for mounting the unit in a conveniant location. The large cables supplied do get warm when the system is under high load, but this is normal. A very good purchase!

I have a motor home and travel extensively on the continent. We go for about 3 months at a time. We have a Hybrid freezer which serves as a fridge on 12 volt and a freezer on 230 volt when we have electric hook up.I bought a Bestek 600w 12v DC to 230 volt AC Inverter so as we could freeze everything before we left and then keep it frozen during the journey using the inverter plugged into the 'cig lighter' socket. When I set it all up in the van, I started the engine and plugged in the inverter. The fuse blew instantly for the cig lighter, 15 amp. I plugged into the amenity socket on the dashboard and same again, this 20 amp fuse blew. I replaced both fuses, disconnected the leisure battery and connected the inverter directly to the leisure battery but exactly the same happened again. Cannot explain this problem but as a result of this I returned the Inverter to Amazon. Got a refund instantly. The inverter did not do as the instructions suggested.Peter.

Great to have in the car to run laptops etc. I run it off the 12V socket when driving. Sometimes needs to 'warm' up a little after plugging in before the green light will come on and start supplying 240V. I suppose this is to do with the transformer. Works well though. Allows my wife to use the laptop on long journeys using the smartphone as a hotspot. Great when camping if you have an old caravan or a soalr panel and you must have 240V socket.

Lo cierto es que no soy ningún experto y mi pregunta seria es mejor conectarlo directamente a batería y dejarlo instalado dentro del vehículo ?? Lo única contra que le veo al producto es el gran tamaño y que no trae conectores para Usb que por el tamaño ya podría llevarlos incluidos

Eindeutige Kaufempfehlung. Nach zahllosen negativen Erfahrungen mit billigeren, viel zu lauten Wechselrichtern kann ich nur sagen: Das Gerät arbeitet bislang einwandfrei. Wichtigstes Kriterium meinerseits war die Lautstärke. Ich betreibe damit in Kombination mit einer 100AH-Solarbatterie ein CPAP-Gerät (Anti-Schnarch-Gerät). Daher muss es im (Nacht-)Betrieb sehr leise sein. Dieser Wechselrichter ist leise, hat ein hochwertiges Design, eine stabile Außenverarbeitung (zumindest das was man äußerlich sieht) und die Lieferung erfolgte prompt und unkompliziert. Es könnte sein, dass mir die 600 W zu viel Saft aus der Batterie saugen, aber da muss man halt in mehr Ah und ggf. ein kleines Solarmodul zum Zwischenladen investieren, will man autark sein.

Ottimo apparecchio, usato ancora poco per dare una indicazione di durata, ma per l'uso fatto fino ad oggi direi che è migliore di altri inverter provati. l'ho usato per portare in accensione una stufa a pellet e farla funzionare per parecchie ore, senza neppure diventare molto caldo. L'ho provato anche per un televisore da 32 pollici che ha funzionato senza problemi. lo consiglierei senz'altro.

C'était l'idéal de ne pas trop cher, et suffisant pour faire fonctionner de petits appareils électriques puissant. C'est très calme et de bonne qualité.

molto valido lo consiglio io lo uso per far funzionare un trapano da 5oo watt e si comporta molto bene
