Learn To Type Keyboard Skin, Not A Mailer

Well, I guess it's actually not simple. I couldn't make it anyway. But it definitely works to help your kids learn to type. Only thing to be aware of is that it only works with older keyboards. It does not fit the newer, thinner kinds.

We threw this in the trash. Horrible quality. No one makes keyboards this deep anymore. This thing would have been great on my IBM keyboard back in 1989. We tried on our Mac desktop, HP chromebook, Dell Laptop and a Dell desktop. Did not sit down onto the keys on any of those keyboards. Total waste of money. We paid shipping too on top of the $17 or so for this flimsy piece of plastic. Save your money and find a better product from a teacher supply store.

This was helpful in helping my daughter learn to type without looking. I really only used it when she was "testing" and it was great becuase it's just habit to look at the keys, and even if you accidentally do, you can't see anything, so it helped her get out of the habit! Good for typing teachers and students, or anyone trying to learn to type without looking!

This is a great tool if your teaching keyboard by touch. Using it early when learning keeps you/students from having the habbit of looking down at thier fingers. I keep a fingering chart above copy they are typing so they can figure it out without looking down. Encourage Slow pace vs speed while learning.

Overpriced piece of thin plastic. I thought this was of a silicone material, but it’s like something you would find in a cookie package. Very disappointed. Good concept though.

This product will only fit really old school keyboards.

Amazon member since 2002 and this is my first product review ever. I am a hybrid hunt and peck type typist in my 40s and developed bad touch typing skills over the years. This skin has already helped in the first week along with daily practice using an online typing tutor app. I've bought probably tens of thousands of dollars worth of mostly good stuff off of Amazon over the years and this is one of the best values among those purchases for me personally.

Item is not much more than a skin of rubber, but comes on a rigid plastic form that holds its shape and protects the keyboard cover from tearing when not installed on a keyboard. Works very well on our keyboards. Very effective and easy to install and remove as needed.
