This was an assigned book for my MBA class. The concepts and principles are very straightforward. The middle of the book was a little dry and I would like to have seen more advice and instruction on how to pull through the concepts. Definitely worth reading for leaders.

This book is something that everyone should read. It puts a name and a description on something everyone has felt at some point in their lives. It also gives concrete techniques and tools to assist the reader in managing the ways they communicate and send messages. I am very glad to have read this book and hope everyone else does as well. It is a great resource for the corporate world, the classroom, and your personal life. Micro messages are a critical component and understanding the ways you send these messages and controlling them will benefit you professionally and personally!

Great book! Stephen Young is a great teacher and helps readers think about things they might not ever notice otherwise. A must have reference for anyone in Corporate America.

I love this book. After reading the book, I recommended it to friends and family. Really addresses how you appear to others and how others appear to you. Great personal growth book. Easy, quick read.

Overall, this is a good book. It gets a little repetitive at times with the author recounting a lot of his own experiences over and over in teaching micro-messaging, but the concepts are solid. It takes multiple perspectives to show how your non verbal communication affects those around you and how it precludes you as a manager from seeing the whole picture. There is noi silver bullet of do this, do that and you will be more effective and I like it that way. It gives you cues to looke for, a perspective on what they mean, how these non-verbal messages can affect your group and understandin of problems and tools to get more out of your conversations. It all seemed to boil down to equal, genuine interacton with others and listening. Overall, worth a read.

Bought this before attending one of Stephen's Microinequities the power of small workshops. The book is great and the workshop was amazing.

Micro Messaging is a great tool. Full of great insite. A must ready for all levels of employees and management.
