I own and operate a small pediatric speech and occupational therapy clinic and work with a number of kiddos who have sensory processing needs. As a result, we have a wide variety of tools and equipment pieces on hand. Hands down, one of the best investments we've ever made are these ball pit balls. Why a Ball Pit? In short: Ball Pits are a great therapy tool! The visual, auditory and tactile sensory stimuli and the proprioceptive feedback builds confidence and strengthens motor skills during occupational therapy. Using balls of multiple colors can help with visual sensory stimulus and they can be used to build early speech skills like color identification, counting and more. If properly padded and filled with crush-resistant balls (like these), they can be great for deep pressure and vestibular activities (kids love to throw themselves into a sea of colors). Activities and games can also be created based on the child's age and goals. For example, one game we play a lot is a sort of tiny basketball. A therapist can ask the child to find a red ball and then a blue ball and shoot them into a hoop. Doing this works on color identification (as I mentioned before), receptive language, multi-step directions, and the fine motor skills of finding and grasping the ball, motor planning to throw the ball into the hoop, and so on. To sum it up: They are fun, great for sensory and body awareness therapies, and I had this deep personal bias that it would just be so gosh darn fun to have one (who doesn't love a ball pit!), even if just a temporary one to pull out as needed. We decided to try out and fill an inflatable pool so we could use it as a ball pit OR as a sand/water play sensory pool as we wanted. We bought the 1,000 pack you see above and an additional 400 (same provider) to fill our 90" X 58" pit up just enough to where we felt it would be fun, though to be honest, I could absolutely buy another 400+ at some point just to really amp up the fun of diving into them. I really like these ones because they are BPA and Phthalate free and they are crush proof, which has held up true so far for us and we've been using these for about 4 months daily with several kiddos who play rough. These have been thrown, squeezed, stepped on, jumped on, dived into, you name it. They clean easily with disinfectant wipes and spray and the pool makes it even easier to sanitize; simply fill up, wash, drain, rinse, repeat. They may be a little bit smaller than some other brands but I personally prefer these and wouldn't buy any others around as the bigger ones can be too hard to children working on fine and gross motor skills to grip and throw.

I purchased this to add to our ball pit. They are made of a plastic that does not crush and is soft when they are thrown. Great product.

These balls (I got 100) are lightweight but apparently sturdy. I sat on them in a ball pit, trying to get my cat to climb in with me, and I was sure they'd be flattened, but they bounced back just fine. My cat does like batting them around. Fun!

Got these for a ball pit for my dogs and they absolutely love them! They are great quality, great price and the perfect size for the ball pit and my dogs!

HAHAHAHA... I love these and here is why. My next-door neighbor's son was turning 3. I bought these as a bday gift. Seeing his eyes light up when he opened the box and all the balls fell everywhere, he loved it!.......his parents just glared at me. :) This was a year ago. They are still holding strong and have not lost their color at all.

Las pelotas son de muy buena calidad, no tienen rebabas por lo cual no son filosas ni rasguñan. El color brillante y uniforme, no son opacas como otras de menor costo, además son resistentes, no se aplastan fácilmente. Creo que son caras respecto a otras, pero vale la pena pagar por estas.

Resultaron mucho mas pequeñas de lo que esperaba, las regresé porque no funcionaron para los fines que las necesitaba, ya que por el tamaño hubiera requerido unos 2 paquetes adicionales.

I was a bit leery about purchasing these balls, because they were $40 for 200 - but I did since they were free from BPA, phthalates and lead. The quality is something that you're not easily finding in other playballs. The colors are vibrant primary colors. They're filled with air, so they don't collapse easy. The plastic is quality free from as many toxins as you can possibly hope for with still being plastic. The plastic is also a decent thickness. Once the price goes back down I will be buying more of these. Apparently 200 balls, and yes I counted - approx 30 of each color, is a lot less than it looks like. I recommend ordering twice as many as you think you'll need. This package barely covered the floor of our toddler tent, and I should have ordered 400-600 of them. Bonus that these come with a handled mesh storage bag.

My heavy handed, rough 3 and 5 year old only squished 1 ball which my 3 year old bit into. So these really are crush proof unless they are forcibly bitten, also great for the bath for something different! Definately worth every penny, my husband was doubtful but was surprised they were really crush proof! Thank you, lifesaver!
