You wouldn't be able to put anything heavy on it. **Q: Will these work with a .5 inch thick door? The only thing about them is that it was difficult to figure out where to screw them in. I couldn’t find any instructions on Amazon, and the hinges don’t come with any. I basically just had to guess and hope for the best. Somehow I got them right the first time, but I was stressed. Part of the difficulty in my case too was that I was using them on a lid, so I could only access the hinge when the lid was open. They also aren’t as “soft closing” when a heavy lid.
