Great beginning book! My daughter loves it.

This is the second book I have ordered. The first one I gave to a granddaughter with a recorder. I found it easy to follow and play.

Item is very very lightly used. Pages are clean and unmarked; surprisingly unbent in spite of an extremely tight plastic mailer bag (an extra protective rigid inner wrap would have made sense in this case, to protect the sheet music). And to add to the fun, there was obviously a “sticky” label on back of book that sender had removed but then left the VERY sticky residue on back cover. The sticky back cover then of course stuck to the very tight plastic mailing bag. IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO REMOVE THAT PLASTIC MAILER BAG WITHOUT TEARING OFF PART OF BACK COVER THAT STUCK TO THE PLASTIC MAILER BAG. Once I got the book free of the mailer, I was able to remove the stickiness on the back by using a gentle application of GooGone—took a while to preserve the back cover but it is now usable without it sticking to your hands. It was VERY obvious there was sticky reside on that back cover. Book’s contents are fine for beginners who have a basic idea of music notation. The explanations are short but provide enough info to give folks an idea of what is being shown in each lesson. Lots and lots of very short pieces, with varied tempo, styles, etc. to reinforce ideas, which is perfect for my level of experience.

It's the best book for beginners it's the essential elements. I had this book when I was a kid and I bought it for my kid.

This book helped me pick up learning recorder basics quickly and easily. I’m happy I bought it and if you’re thinking about playing the recorder you should buy it , too!

Great starter book!

Good book for beginners and made my recorder class a lot easier

Very simple and good. Started teaching my kiddos to play recorder even though I learned about 20 years ago. Haha book has been helpful. Good price point too

Great book for beginners. I had never played recorder before, and bought this book, and I'm very satisfied. I was able to play tunes after a couple of days. I don't know if this is just one of a series of books, but the only criticism I have is that scales aren't even mentioned. Maybe they come in book 2, or something.

This book is really helping me sort out how to teach my class how to play the recorder. I am finding this so easy to use and learn myself.
