Disappointing!!!
I love my silhouette cameo, I've cut paper, cardstock, and vinyl with it. I decided to try heat transfer vinyl. I read reviews online of the product, I studied tutorials from popular bloggers and tips from pinterest, and videos from youtube. Reviews were rave so I took the plunge and ordered 5 different colors of heat transfer vinyl. I was pleased with the color- very pretty- and cutting it out on my machine went great. However when I started actually using my iron to transfer the vinyl to fabrics, I ran into problems. I tried onesies and also canvas tote bags and neither seem like a good material for this vinyl. I followed instructions to the T, nada. Then I tried shorter/longer amounts of time. I tried more/less pressure. I tried different weights of cloth between the vinyl and my iron, I tried A LOT of things and nothing came out great. My designs wither warped or peeled off shortly after application. The closest I could get was a very thin cotton cloth between the vinyl and iron, intense pressure for about 40 seconds on a medium setting (no steam). I still had to use tweezers to peel the vinyl off the plastic backing in most areas where it didn't stick and then once the pastic backing was romoved, re-iron it all on. Some places are still not even sticking and I'm not confident they are going to last through a gentle wash. I am super frustrated because I tired a lot of different ways to make this work and it's just not. I consider myself a very crafty person and I am baffled as to why my heat transfers wouldn't work- especially after reading "it's so easy" reviews on popular crafting and mommy blogs. I got this to make baby onesies to sell and give away but I would be embarrassed to give/sell these because I have a feeling they won't last more than one wear. I wish I hadn't spent 100$ on this stupid vinyl. I'm going to try freezer paper stencils and fabric paint next... hopefully with better luck.

it's fine.
Only thing I don't like about this product is you have to set a stopwatch and not go over the time window (in the directions) or else your product melts to the transfer sheet and then the whole thing doesn't work well. For small designs (infant / toddler onesies) it works fine because the design is small enough to fit in the width of my iron, for a t-shirt for my husband...it didn't work as great but was still fine. Parts heated up more than others, some parts shrunk (was doing a two colored design) etc. So just be careful and quick is my advice.

Nice heat transfer
The Silhouette products are great, this one included. I put this on a t-shirt and it's still intact after 2 washes, except that it's not perfectly smooth as it once was...looks just a little bit bubbly. Maybe user error?

Beautiful color and the texture is soft
I created a onesie for a friend using this heat transfer material, it is easy to use and feels wonderful when applied to fabric. It has a soft, smooth, suede-like feeling. I used the silhouette cutter to create the image (make sure to mirror the image so it can be applied correctly to the fabric) and then cut using the silhouette suggested cut settings. Peel off the area you are not going to transfer to the cloth, place face down onto the fabric with the clear plastic on top, cover with thin sheet, and iron. Iron without steam but on a high setting. It takes approximately 4-6 minutes, test a small area by lifting the plastic, if it isn't fully adhered, iron for another two minutes or so until the plastic can be removed easily. The color of this transfer is gorgeous and it was relatively simple to use. The design, cutting, and applying took me maybe 30-45 minutes. you receive enough material to cover several projects. What I used barely put a dent into what you receive so I look forward to making more custom items.
