How many times have you had an important electrical connection not work? This is the "cure" - I know "cure" is a strong word, but it is as close as I can come to what DeoxIT does for me. For instance I have a Roomba - sometimes it charges, sometimes it does not. I cleaned the contacts and applied DeoxIT and wow - it charges every time. I now use a little DeoxIT on both ends of every battery I install - especially in remote controls. How many times did the remote stop working and when I checked the batteries (using my very trusty old school Radio Shack Battery Tester) and found that the batteries still had plenty of juice, but the contacts had got dirty, corroded, or whatever caused them to stop conducting? Now, after using DeoxIT, when the remote stops working - the battery is truly dead! How about 110 volt stuff - I put DeoxIT on the leading edges of all my power cords - suddenly they slide in and out of the dirty old wall receptacles and that one receptacle where getting a connection used to involve bending the tab a little to force better contact just works each and every time. A final word of caution - many of the products listed along side DeoxIT are dielectric - be very, very, very careful: Dielectric means, insulating material or a VERY POOR conductor of electric current. If you are looking to improve electrical conductivity Dielectric is the absolutely last thing you want. Amazing stuff - I wish I had found it 40 years ago.

Worked really well on anything electrical you need a solid electrical connection; used on battery ground terminals in my car, my HVAC compressor connections, and all of my breakers in my house. Oddly enough, it also fixed a weird power issue I was having in my house with a particular CGFI outlet that would trip with less than a 10 amp draw.

Not only does switches, sliders require cleaning of the electronic contacts, many vintage selector switches consist of detent type ball and tension spring and usually a shaft which may seize, If not properly lubricated, The control may either freeze or require an enormous amount of strength to operate. Once cleaned and lubricated with the deoxit grease it works as designed. Also great for most mechanical linkages such as vintage turntables, tape recorder mechanisms etc.

on automotive battery terminals and on connections like a copper ground lug to aluminum transmission housing. It eliminates corrosion problems. Also works well on boats in similar applications. Always keep a jar in my electrical tool box. Learned to use it when I worked on submarines in a shipyard.

Cleaned up the corroded contact pins on my zero turn and used this product. No issues half the summer through so far. Seems to work well.
