Outstanding!
If you REALLY want to know what the weather is going to be like, ask an old guy with injuries from younger years. I guarantee he'll know a whole lot better than forecaster's or this thing!! Yep, my shoulders hurt like H***.......it's gonna rain. Man, my knee is total crap today.....guess a snow storm is on the way. I replaced a very old Atmoix clock, where the outdoor sensor went bad. This LaCrosse weather station.clock - Excellent - SUPER simple setup if you have ever set up one of these before......even if you haven't, it's easy. Out of the box I spent no more than 3-5 minutes putting batteries in, setting a screw into the wall, prepping the outdoor sensor, setting all the parameters...time/date/daylight savings, CST time zone, etc. It's nice and bright when plugged in. Everything worked within minutes. I did not setup alerts for temps or storms. I have a weather radio for that. I would buy another if I needed one. POSITIVE: - Clean, bright display when plugged in - Multi-color is nice for separation of different displays - Easy setup - Time is accurate - Temp/humidity is reasonably accurate (1-2 degrees is acceptable) NEGATIVE: - Not much! With the realization that it is a 'tendency", it says it is going to rain a LOT more than it actually is. - I know this is supposed to be more of a weather station than a clock, but the time/date is pretty small. It's hard to read from a distance. If they switched the weather tendency display with the clock display, it would be easier to read......oh well. It's a great little unit overall.

AWESOME Weather station
This is what i want it for a long time!!!! Pros: - Very easy to read information during the day or at night - Works plugged in and also with batteries - Accurate readings most of the time - Easy to follow instructions - 2 AA batteries are required for the sensor - Very cool Animated Forecast background Cons: - None so far Overall we like this unit at home, we are able to see the outdoor and indoor temperatures at a glance. It helps us predict what we can expect for the day!!! I know we all have smartphones and we can get the weather updates that way buy having it hanging on your wall or just displayed on a table makes it so much easier and at the same time looks great. My 6 year learned to tell us the weather on a daily basis, great way to teach your kids My friend thought it was a high end weather station, i mean PRICE wise jajaaja he went ahead and purchased one after checking the price. ****Quick note**** I applied clear tape all around the wireless sensor that is setup outside my door just to prevent any water getting into the unit, BE CAREFUL NOT to tape the actual sensor opening i left that open for obvious reasons!!! Pretty good product...
Because of where I mounted the device, I don't have too much trouble with viewing angle. The left/right angle is around ~45 degrees while the up/down angle is only ~25 degrees. That works OK for me though it could be better. The nearest power I have in my RV living room is 12-14 Vdc. No 120 Vac within 12 feet. The power cube that comes with the unit is a 120 Vac to 5 Vac @150mA which is a bit odd. Don't usually see AC supplied to a product like this. I suspect it was so they could use a smaller power connector. What I did was buy one of the cigar lighter plug-in USB power supplies (just $1 at the Dollar store) and modified it to supply the unit with 5 Vdc. It's worked fine since installation with the same brightness and no tendency to overheat. The brightness is fine during the day with bright sunlight outside (but not in direct sunlight), and it's not too bright during the night unless a guest is trying to sleep on the couch below it. In this case, you just need to tap the snooze button twice to dim the display. Pretty handy. I really like all the colors and the visibility from 20 feet away. The radio seems to be a bit wimpy though, it's only 12 feet away from the transmitter and often shows 5 bars of signal. That occasionally drops to 0 bars for no apparent reason. I have to move the receiver around the corner a couple feet for it to re-sync though sometimes it re-syncs without any interference from me. And another problem, it takes 40 seconds for the remote to get around to transmitting. Most remote wireless temperature transmitting units only take 5 secs. The design is probably trying to get the batteries to last 4 years instead of the 1 year that's typical. I'd much prefer more rapid updating. The main display unit takes forever to update and reach the remotes outside temp. This may be the remote, or the main unit, I don't know. This again is probably a battery conservation design. Two HOURS to reach the outdoor temp that my other wireless takes just 4 minutes to reach. Not a very good design. Luckily, I only need this as a reference not as a critical temp monitor. I've been searching for a nice In/Out thermometer for my living room wall for a couple years and although this one is way overpriced, I'm glad I bought it because I got tired of waiting for just the right device, this one with all it's defects will do for now. Your situation might be different.

Worth the money.
Bought this La Crosse Technology Wireless Atomic Digital Color Forecast Station for my mom, and she’s still using it to this day. It’s reliable, easy to read, and very accurate. She loves checking the forecast and temperature every day, and it’s held up great over time. A thoughtful purchase that turned out to be a long-term favorite—highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic weather station. Easy to set up, including the outdoor sensor but make sure you also buy an outdoor housing for it to keep it weather proofed. Only one drawback currently is that it has what under investigation seems to be a US mains pinned plug to connect to the mains with. Afterallthistime were great with a much speedier delivery than even that estimated at ordering. They were also very prompt at answering my mains power query but in the end suggested just 2 adapter plugs, one was a standard UK adapter for plugging extra things in and the other was a EU adapter plug, which as it seems to be a US plus as per photo I sent them, wasn't a lot of help. After a final try at getting some help from them following which they stopped replying, so I purchased a US to UK power adapter, which hasn't done the trick. La Crosse is a Michigan company which I have contacted to hopefully help me as Afterallthistime don't seem to know what they are selling in detail. Lastly if La Crosse can't give me a solution I will continue to just run on batteries as it is still a great machine. Seem from the start to be very accurate, even though La Crosse says it takes a few weeks to get forecasts fully running
