Replaces aged cord on a toy power supply. Perfect because it adds an on/off switch.

Bought these to re-wire some lamps my family bought in South Africa to use in the US. Easy to use and they seem like they are made well.

I misread the description. I thought it said the insulation was clear instead of white. This doesn't mean the product is defective, just my brain. I found these to be just fine for my needs. I recently acquired a wall sconce electric light fixture which I wanted to mount above a dresser. Since I couldn't install an electrical box in the wall, I used a shallow surface mounted box to install the fixture using one of these cord assemblies plugged into an outlet behind the dresser. Now my wife is happy and I have one less "honey do" on my list.

Arrived very fast. Work well for repairs

This is a great budget option for replacing or constructing a low-wattage lamp or lantern switch. My only complaint is that it isn't polarized, making it unsuitable for use cases in which you need to protect the hot side. The switch has a nice, satisfying throw action - a solid click without a lot of noise. The cord is flexible and the stranded wires are pre-stripped and nicely twisted. The tips of my cords seem to be aluminum, or maybe tinned copper - I haven't stripped further to see if these are actually copper further up the cable. These were super easy to wire into some sockets - I'm very happy with them.
