Yes, RCA, 3.5mm stereo jack, and optical. The optical cable appears to reduce television speech latency even when the automatically selected Bluetooth codec is SBC. Be aware that although it is stated that it can use AAC, it appears to be only for receiving, not transmitting; this appears to be how Bluetooth 5.0 operates.

Is it possible to switch between which codec is being used?

Sorry, but no you can't. The transmitter will adapt to the best possible codec the receiving unit is capable to. If you i.e. have a bluetooth AptX Low Latency headphone, it will transmit that particular codec. Since it is a digital product this codec is decided upon in the 'handshake' those 2 units do when connecting digitally.

Where can I get a manual?

will this work with bluetooth hearing aids

Different devices use different "codecs". Your hearing aids are most likely to use the "FS" codec (short for FastStream), so this product should work fine with it. (Check the manual of the hearing aids to confirm what codecs it can work with if you're not sure. )
