Solid, substantial, flat, durable. Useful range of grits. A good value proposition.
These stones are pure quality. I use them first, and sometimes follow up with a couple of water stones. But honestly, if you sharpen with these and then strop, I'm not so convinced the whole water stone part adds much if anything. I use the coarsest of these three stones to flatten my water stones. I don't expect to wear these out. A younger man might do so over a number of years? The 3-inch width is nice. You can get by with narrower stones, but if you can afford the 3" width stones, get 'em.

Great stones
These diamond stones cut aggressively, at least when they are new. This is really nice for flattening machine marks out of new chisels and plane blades. I've primarily been using wet or dry sandpaper with water on a granite flat stone for the bulk of my sharpening work. This works well but I wanted something more aggressive and longer lasting than sandpaper for both new items (they almost always need a major work over) and for restoring old rusty and warn out tools. These stones are big enough and seem quite flat. They are heavy and appear to be a very good deal. They should fit well in any wood shop or other sharpening systems. The 600 and 1200 grit seemed most practical for my purposes.

Better than the cheaper set I bought
Overall a decent set of diamond stones for the money. I bought a cheaper set and after using them to dress my skew gouges a few times some of the diamond abrasive had worn off. So decided to get this set and it has been perfect for my use. I only dress a few of my lathe tools with it at this point and the fact that these are flat and do not bend is great. Just a couple passes on my skew or even parting tool and it is ready to go and I can get a few cycles out of sharpening this way before having to go back to the grinder.

I would recommend this product.
Heavy steel substrate and very flat. Using it to hone carbide lathe tools and it works fast with just a drop or two of water. Good price point.

The exception or the rule?
After infrequent use, I'm already noticing areas of where the diamond grit has scraped away

These work pretty good, but......
These work pretty good but they need to be longer to work with a jig. Also it would be nice if they were engraved with the grit from the mfg.

Worn out!
I purchased this set to fit a dovetail rear sight. I used water and it performed well. Got the dovetail lowered and fit. Rinsed and dried them and put them back in their boxes. This weekend I went to fit a dovetail mount for a red dot. Wet them down and started. Checked periodically and the bluing was coming off but it was taking significantly longer. rinsed and dried and checked them. Except for the corners where I didn't go they are completely smooth, no grit at all. I can still feel grit on the corners. This is a major disappointment and I'm stuck until I can get to the store. Guess I'll go with wet/dry sandpaper! Update May 28, 2019 The seller has been extremely prompt in correcting the problem by sending me another set via Priority mail. I will update again after I have a chance to use them. Update: I have been remiss in not updating before now. The second set has performed well on multiple items to sharpen, change profile, etc. They still work fine and I would recommend them. The first set must have been a fluke. Sometimes that happens.

When buying 2 different stones, they do not label the grit size of the stones, so you don't know which one is which when you unpackage them, until you start using them. Company should stamp the size on the back side of the stone. Otherwise it has been 1 year and still excellent shape. I also recommend buying the fluid as well.
