This is by far the best train, well built
This is by far the best train, well built, stays on the tracks and only uses 1 AA battery! Compared to the new version that uses 2 AAA batteries they are garbage.

Great train, uses AA batteries unlike the others that use AAA. It is louder than the other models and sometimes hangs up more on the track due to its length. Overall, solid toy.

it is faster than i expected it gose up hills not very well it can work on carrpet it is very strong to it has a squeak in the coal cart this is a very awsome toy

Nice looking train but quality is lacking
My son loves loves loves trains, particularly the Thomas Trackmaster trains, and Spencer is his favorite engine. I don't care for the new Trackmaster design however--the new design uses two AAA batteries as opposed to 1 AA battery in the old design. More batteries = more waste, and I haven't noticed any improvement in battery life or performance. Of course my son doesn't care about these things, but he is rough on his toys and the screw that holds the battery compartment in place comes apart far too often. For such an expensive line, I wish the quality was better.

Fast, Quiet, and Stylish
My kid loves this. I do too. It is quiet unlike some of the Trackmaster train engines which will not let you have a conversation. I also like the fact that I can change the battery easily. So far, I find Scruff, Toby, and Spencer to be quiet engines. Victor is the worst. Arthur is alight.

My son loves Thomas the train so I ad to get this for him the quality is good...buy it ! Gordon train set we are saving for later.

Weak train engine
This train engine is rather weak. It struggles to climb up slopes.

This train was so hard to find in stores. Glad I was able to find it here on Amazon right in time for Christmas. My nephew loved it. Would have been 5 stars if it was a talking train . Overall good buy

Great product My grandson just loved this gift It does not require a track so he can play with it anywhere I would certainly recommend this little train to family and friends

I am very happy with this toy as it seems to be great fun for my kid. Its main advantage is that it is very sturdy which means that it is difficult to break even if a kid plays with it a lot.
