Ticket to Ride Nederland Board Game EXPANSION - Train Route-Building Strategy Game, Fun Family Game for Kids & Adults, Ages 8+, 2-5 Players, 30-60 Minute Playtime

First of all, remember that this is an expansion to the original game so you do need another full game to play this one. But anyway - this expansion offers a fun twist with the route tolls. It takes a few plays to figure out the strategy and how best to use the tolls to your advantage. I highly recommend this expansion to kind of refresh the great game and give yourself a little variety in playing.

We have greatly enjoyed this expansion to the original and Europe versions. It is a different, but interesting and challenging gameplay to those. This is an EXPANSION set; meaning, you must have one of the full versions (original, 1910, Europe) available for the train cars and the train cards. If you liked Ticket to Ride or one of the other versions, I recommend this expansion.

I thought the introduction of the toll feature would be interesting--that's the main reason for buying this game. While it is very difficult to pronounce the names of the cities, it is still a pretty fun game and goes faster than the original (primarily because it's better to claim your routes sooner rather than later in this version). Worth the price.

Ticket to Ride Netherlands is a really fun expansion pack. The new introduction of money adds a new layer of complexity to a really wonderful game. I found it to be one of my favorite expansions of TTR.

Be sure you understand this is an extension board, so you won't get trains etc just a board, Instructions, location cards and any special items related to this board. You will need either the original game for the usa or Europe. It is fun to play, there is just 2 pages of instructions, the manual comes in multiple languages : English, French, etc see last pic for flags representing the languages to expect and pages to read instructions. It is a colorful and large board, hours of fun. I included a pic showing all the different numbered cards so there are really long distances to achieve. I see some bonus cards and some penalty cards. I can't wait to read the instructions this weekend and ppl lay with hubby. It is a quality board, thick box. Just be careful popping out those disks . I popped from the back and have one hand u der and one hand aka finger o er the hole n oush. I find I didn't get any tearing that way. Don't pop from the number side and go slowly.it came with one zip lock type bag so i used it for the coins, but I had a spare pouch that I used to out the cards in. I like everything neatly. But the box inside has a slot for the cards n coins if you didn't want to bag them. It is a fun game for the whole family or just 2 people. You get addicted fast and will want other boards.

This version of Ticket to Ride is an add-on to the original. This board has a lot of ferries (so hang on to those wild cards!). In this game, you pay to claim routes, but if someone claims track on the same route as you, instead of the money going to the bank, it goes to you (which REALLY helps). There are bonuses for having money leftover at the end of the game (lowest being 10 coins). The destination cards that are discarded are also removed from the game instead of being placed back under the deck. This is my daughter's favorite TTR board. She likes collecting the money. :) If you play with 2 people, they also have instructions on how to incorporate a third player into the game (which helps with money). You also have the option of not playing with the coins as well. Great addition to your TTR collection!

Ordered for my son for Christmas because he's become a big fan of trains and at 8 years old can handle the gameplay. Chose the Netherlands version because we're Dutch and I thought it would be fun for the kids to learn the city's of their homeland. HOWEVER, he opened for Christmas and this version is not a stand alone game. The only thing missing are the trains. You'd think they could add 50 cents worth of plastic trains to make it a stand alone game but no. Now I'm taking apart little mini wooden cloths pins and painting them for "trains." Super disappointed. I bought in August because I'm an early Christmas shopper and it's been too long so I'm not able to return.

This was super fun to play with my Dutch husband who lives with me in the US. The cities aren't only of the Netherlands though. Some are Flemmish and others are German I think, but either way, it was fun to try and pronounce them all, which he found funny. It's an expantion pack of Ticket to Ride which is a great game.

Die Zug um Zug Spielidee kommt wieder mit einer neuen Karte, diesmal Holland und wieder neue Regeln. Bei über 10 Boards werden die Regeln langsam etwas unübersichtlich. Die neue Variante macht besonders Spaß, da es eine Art Geld gibt. Man muß für jede Strecke, die man baut, bezahlen. Steht auf einer Doppelstrecke bereits der Spielgegner, bekommt er das Geld und nicht die Bank. Hat man kein Geld mehr, muß zum bauen ein Kredit genommen werden. Man kann auch ohne das Spielegeld spielen, doch mit den erweiterten Regeln wird das richtig spannend. Ansonsten gewohnte gute Qualität, schöne Illustrationen auf einer nicht immer ganz geografisch nachvollziehbaren Karte.

Si te gusta pensar mucho, este no es el juego. Si te gusta echar un rato ligero pensando un poco, sí.

We are ticket to ride obsessed in our family. This expansion pack brings new strategy and new concepts to our beloved game. As usual the quality is great and the game play fun. The only 1 slightly negative is that the font on the board is a bit hard to read. Other than that, it's fab. A must have for TTR fans.

Amo Ticket to Ride e ho sempre odiato non poterci giocare in due. Questa espansione, per fortuna, lo permette. Badate bene, però, che si tratta appunto di un'espansione e che, per riuscire a giocarci, c'è necessariamente bisogno di un Ticket To Ride base. Il tabellone è ridotto e per questo è divertente da giocare in due o tre persone. La grafica è sempre magnifica!

I really like this game in addition to the other Ticket to Ride games. It's fun and challenging to play as a family.
