The reviews tell me yes and they are 3050's are less expensive** A: I'm thrilled with the Diamond 240s. After having needed to replace 20+year old DefTechs, I've been through several different brands and nothing satisfied. I will say that the Q acoustics are 4 ohms, same as the Wharfedale. The Qs are rated for 100 watts at 4 ohms, the Wharfedale are rated at 150 watts at 4 ohms. This means that if your amplifier is rated for more than about 50 watts per channel at 8ohms, you're going to be overpowering the Qs. The Wharfedale are easily being driven by my Yamaha RX-V 105wpc 8 ohms. These speakers are receiving over 200wpc from my Yamaha at 4 ohms, and I'm not really noticing any major issues. That's just something to consider. **Q: Is this for a pair?** A: Supposed to be, but I only received one damaged speaker. The company got reimbursed by fedex for the other missing speaker, then instead of sending me a new speaker gave me the runaround until I was out of the return window. So now Iā€™m stuck with a $700 singular speaker that I dont use. Stay away from these guys. While they don't drop a huge amount of bass, they do perform rather well at the mid and upper ranges. Sound is full and warm, and really opens up once you bi-wire them! Great Value! ### ā­ā­ā­ā­ā­ Great speakers, but there's something missing *by Z***M on June 30, 2024* I recently bought the 240s, sound wise they are incredibly good at highs and mids, the exact amount of brightness and naturality that will keep you engaged with your music. But the mid to low base is not that deep and doesn't feel like 40hz as advertised - maybe due to the Amp I'm using? Not sure.The other thing I noticed is that drivers diameter is not as advertised, they are smaller.
