Awesome Lights for Indoor or Night Gigs
These lights are really great. Picked up 2 of these for our band and they make indoor or night gigs a blast. So far we have just linked them with an XLR cable and used the sound-activated mode and they put on a great show without having to get a DMX controller and create shows and have someone run them (which you can totally do if you want to). The way it cycles through the light programs is super cool. We mounted them on tripods and place them on either side of the band and they put out plenty of light. The only thing I'm not crazy about is that they are not made specifically for tripods and I had to modify the horizontal bar on our Eliminator stands in order to mount the lights. Still totally worth it. We also picked up a remote for these, but I'm not sure it's really necessary. We like them so much that we are using them for rehearsals because helps elevate the mood in the room. Highly recommend these!

Almost perfect
This is the second light bar I ordered from Amazon the first one was from a different manufacturer, the only problem I have with this one is the remote effects other products even though I did not program them to the remote not a big deal works well and is very bright, I use it behind the DJ front board.

Great product
After looking at several lights in this price range I decided to purchase this one. A neat feature of this light is the diagonal LED pattern that allows single colors to mix creating a full bar of light instead of intermittent bursts of light from a row of LEDs.The daisy chaining ability for power and DMX is fantastic. Makes it far easier to setup a run of lights and works with the built-in auto mode allowing the first light to be customized to your liking and the rest set as slaves.I do agree with other posters that you need more than one to get a great amount of light. A single one pointed down will light up a 8 foot table easily. It also works beautifully for wall washing. As a side note it is very useful for coloring backgrounds for those photographers out there. This is where the color mixing mentioned above comes in.Time will tell if the unit can last but it seems solid and well built.

Great product, but Needs to be packaged better when shipped!
Absolutely loved this purchase! I bought it for my lighting setup obviously, but fell in love with it, great effect and very bright, just bought another one.The only complaint I had was upon delivery, the packaging was horrible, the box wasn't even in another box for protection or privacy, the product box had holes and rips in it from delivery, but luckily none of the screws and attachments fell out.I was very dissatisfied how this product was shipped to me, a product like this needs better protection, but other than that it still worked great.

practicality is key
I own a chauvet colorrail irc, and just by looking at the functionality of the mega bar, I can tell you it is already better. Brightness and programs seem about the same. Where I believe the mega bar exceeds is the rubber bushing on it's back, providing optimal support without the need for mount attachments like the colorrail. Plus it also has an amber led unlike the chauvet, which is only rgb. Having the ac and dmx as well as the menu buttons on the side as apposed to the underneath keeps cables clean and not visible. Much more thinking went into the development of this product, I wish I would have done more research before purchasing the colorrails. BTW…..about 50-75 dollars cheaper!

I love how the LEDs are distributed
So many options. It has several different options for DMX. I love how the LEDs are distributed. it has smooth "motion show" options. The light's don't move but it sure looks like they do. It's a very narrow beam. This isn't a flood light, but it cast a super long beam. You can easily connect the bars together. They connect with very little space between them.DMX is an acronym for Digital MultiplexLED is a light-emitting diodePut them together and what a show.Full DMX-512 control in 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 18, or 34 channel modes provides compatibility with advanced lighting rigs

Power daisy chaining is unusual.
Good design and durable. Not as bright as I'd like, but still usable for upstage scenery wash. The power daisy chaiing is set up wrong, in that you have to use IEC-type extensions, not the usual IEC power cord.
