Blast Media, Glass Beads, Medium

Not much to say, they work and last well. Again these are glass beads so make sure this is what you are looking for. If you have a reclaimer/seperator do not empty it back into the cabinet, you will not be able to see while blasting. I am using them in a HF Blast cabinet. The bucket is heavy but was delivered by UPS in good time.

This is my first time using glass beads. These are great! Very little dust. I am using these on steel and aluminum. This size gives a very nice finish for painting or plating. I also like that it is 5 gallons which translates to 53lbs. That is twice as much as the other brands.

The description does not match the product I received. The description clearly states 50 lbs. delivered in a pail. I received a damaged cardboard box containing 32 lbs. There were no manufacturers markings on the box. The media was contaminated with foreign materials.

Good media, slow and even work on 4140 steel.

This is advertised as a "medium" product although the size goes as small as 106 microns. From looks alone it seems that it is predominately smaller particles, and as such it does only a fair job at paint and corrosion removal from aluminum. Leaves a satin finish which on motorcycle cases is great if the piece is to be polished, so the product has value. BUT I'm going to try the same manufacture's "Coarse" grade to see if it does what I need.
