I bought these for a vintage car that mice had turned into a home; the smell was so bad that it would burn your nose. After several failed attempts to get the smell out, I came across these and thought why not - nothing else is working. After less than 24 hours in the car, the stank was easily reduced by 50%. After a week, the smell was gone. I have kept these in the car for a couple of months now, and you would never know we had a mouse problem. If I could give these 10 Stars, I would.

I'm still not quite certain it's ACTUALLY working but I don't notice odors. Update: Apparently I am just not realizing it because I am used to how my car smells (or doesn't) but, I drove some friends the other night and the first comment they both made was "oooh, your car smells NIIICE". I was initially confused because I didn't smell anything and then realized, that is probably exactly why it "smells nice". I bumped up my rating because that is proof of its effectiveness. This a good brand for charcoal bamboo products. ***Update (07/2020) So, I forgot that I would want to change out the purifier after about a year because it has become an almost permanent fixture there. I even bought a new car two years ago and brought the purifier with me. I know it wasn't really intended to work this long but, it has been effectively filtering for almost FIVE years (looking back at the order from 2015). It does get a fair amount of sunlight pretty regularly so I would venture to say that could be the reason I have never felt tempted to buy air fresheners of any kind. Thinking about it now, It even got rid of that fake "new car" smell the dealership likes to throw in, assuming they're doing you a favor but it just irritates the crap out of my sinuses. I am going to finally replace it because it hasn't been as quick to neutralize odors as it once was but I swear it is still working to keep my car fresh.

Many of my friends smoke and I noticed that my car was beginning to smell like a big old ashtray. After a couple of days, the odor was gone. That being said, I'll gladly purchase another when this one no longer absorbs odors. There are only a couple of issues that I have with this. I purchased the beige one to match my car's interior, but now I wish I had chosen the black one. The fabric gets dirty easily even though its not touched. I'm not sure how to clean it without getting it wet. Also, the blue adjustable cord is difficult to adjust. If the cord had a layer of something smooth or made of a smoother material, then it might be easier to adjust the size of the loop. These issues don't bother me enough to prevent me from purchasing it again, though.

I got a new Car and was troubled by the new car smell. I had to get rid of it and was looking for some product online when i came across this product which looked promising. I installed it in my Car on Friday Aug 28th and after days today (September 3rd) the new car smell is still present. I would say that the smell is 60% gone. But my expectations after using for 6 days was that the smell should be completely gone. I also used to roll down my windows whenever i drove the car to reduce the smell. When not driving my car is parked in a covered Garage. So i would say that it wasn't an outstanding product for my use case.

I have only had these Air Freshener for a couple of days so really time will tell but first thoughts.... 1. I drive a Ford Flex, it does not fit around the head rest, you have to take the head rest off and attach from the bottom. Not a huge deal but just a very minor delay in installation. 2. I had food left in my car the same day that I put it in, as a 6 month pregnant women, my sense of smell is VERY good. There was only a minor hint that there was old fries in the car. I'm happy with that result. 3. I day later there was no hint of food in the car (I removed the left over fries). 4. It is well made and I think that it will hold up for the entire 365 that it says it will work. 5. My only complaint is they put a sticker on the box right over the instruction so I had to go on line to read the detail about leaving the air freshener in the direct sunlight once a month. This could be a one time thing with an employee having a bad day but it was a uhhhh moment for me. I am happy with the first week of use. I looked to see if I could buy a second one for in-home but they were sold out. I

Wife wrote this: We have definitely liked these! I just ordered 3 more car sized ones and 3 pairs of the smaller ones. I figured the car sized ones would be good in a single smallish room, much like a car which has its doors opened a bunch. The large one in the car has removed a lot of odors since it was installed four months ago. . . Let's face it, sometimes humans create noxious fumes and everyone is stuck in the car for hours with them. The car no longer stinks! Yea! We have not put it out in the sun. The instructions say to put it out in direct sunlight for an hour a month. It has been continuously hanging on the back of a headrest for 4 months. The car gets so hot when parked that, perhaps, it is rejuvenating itself. Maybe sun through the windows is enough. We traveled and used two of the smaller ones to remove odors from our closets and suitcases when we were unable to do laundry for two weeks. Very successful! Then, we came home to what smelled like a mouse had died somewhere in our Great Room. We tried to localize the smell but still cannot figure out from where the handful of flies are hatching. We never have had more than a handful of flies in the house all year. Lately, however, there are around 3 or more buzzing around or lying dead someplace. The flies make us pretty sure that something died somewhere, but where?????. The AC is on so the air is moving and we cannot really localize the smell. I suddenly remembered the two small odor eliminators I had put into a thick sealed plastic bag. I brought them out yesterday and hung them up in the section of the room where the smell is strongest, near stuffed cabinets, a desk and full bookshelves. This morning the smell was much less. So I just ordered more of these for other trouble spots in the house and cars. We really like the fact there is no synthetic perfume left wafting around to cause us to sneeze.

Disappointed . My car developed a leak, which then caused a mildew like odor. The cause of the leak was repaired by the dealer, all water vacuumed out, pieces of the floor board under the mats and carpet pulled out, placed in the sun (during a heat wave) for days to ensure they were dry. I, like many other did not want to use conventional air fresheners, I want the odor gone and this product - PURGGO Car Air Freshener sounded like it would do what I wanted. It was advertised to be able to absorb the odor and last 1 year. It doesn't absorb the odor. Can't say if it lasts 1 year, because I haven't had it that long. (about 1-2 months). I followed all the directions and that mildew like odor is still there. I will leave it in the vehicle, maybe they meant that it takes a year to begin working.

Well, it seems to work. I don't really notice the dog odor in my dad's truck which is the reason I bought it. For myself, I really would prefer a scent, not just "nothing", so I use floral essential oils in my truck. My dad wasn't really into that, lol, so I got him this. We're happy with it, although it is kind of big and ugly and unweildly there hanging behind the seat. It would be nice to have a choice of bag color, such as grey or black so it at least blends in with the upholstery better. And what's up with the turquoise string? That's not going to match anyone's car decor! But it does work so I'll give it 4 stars even though the aesthetic factor is a bit lacking. Edit: It doesn't really work. I think we were just hoping. It's pretty worthless. Just threw it away. Big, ugly, unweildly and doesn't work.

guys I am not sure how this works but IT DOEST THE JOB. my first car was smelly with molds in the begining and after a day of cleaning with tesco products was a new scent inside. THE CRAZY thing is that i did try some freshner but i have high fever and sometimes i can sneeze for an hour when i get in touch with the chemicals.this product MUST BE IN YOUR CAR !!!!!! when i got it i just dropped in the back of my car and leave it there,. i think after 2 3 days there was no more smell inside . no fresh aroma but also no perfume . this whatever is inside is making every smell go away and LEAVES THE CAR SMELL LIKE BRAND NEW,. dont remeber when i bought it but now is march 2017 and the product is still WORKING. what i notice there is no point in using other perfumes when i have this one. i bought some geranium that its supose to stay for 14 days but after 2 days even this scent is going away. i ve been been testing others perfumes in the car and the same this air freshner will cacth everything and leave the smell in the car brand new. I sugest to all of you to buy it. there is somebody saying he had dogs and the smell from the car went away. i was sceptic in the begining but wooow i belive him now.

Endlich keine Chemie mehr im Auto die ausläuft und stinkt. Dieser Luftentfeuchter tut was er soll. Habe seit seinem Einsatz keine beschlagenen Innenscheiben mehr gehabt und er riecht nicht. Sehr gutes Naturprodukt. Kann ich empfehlen.

It's only been few weeks since I started using it. So far it seems to be working fine. I don't smell any odor and air feels fresher in my car.
