Lamy swift anthracite - modest rollerball pen with a smooth writing experience - robust metal casing & line width B M 66 rollerball refill in blue

Looks great, works great. But of course it does, it's a Lamy. The rollerball is smooth, the ink flows well with the correct volume. Like it so much, I ordered a second. Highly recommend.

For context: I own a Lamy Studio Ballpoint, Scala Rollerball, and now this rollerball pen. It is the perfect blend of weight and writing quality. It is also a great price for an office pen that you won't be too upset if it disappears. I am a huge fan of the rollerball. It writes so much smoother than a traditional ballpoint. Big fan!

This is my favorite pen. It's sturdy and makes writing enjoyable.

I bought this pen for use with Pilot's Precise V5 and they fit great and work well with the pen. Just a note that the LAMY refill that came with the pen, in my opinion, is awful. The ink flows very well and it is nice to write with but for me - far too thick. Great pen in basically every way though!

Writes as smooth as it looks!

The pen is well built and sturdy but ended up not being what I wanted. I wanted a metal clicker that would take a Pilot G2 1mm refill which limited my options from the start. This pen does accept the G2 refill once you remove the air restrictor from the back of the refill which leads to ink leaking from the tip. Beyond that messy fact the design of the grip area and click mechanism are flawed. The grip has the sharp drop off where the pen should rest on my middle finger so I have to use a modified grip or choke back on the pen and feel like I'm holding a paint brush. The clip mechanism is annoying because in order to make it retract the ramps slide against the clicker bits and it's metal on metal; it feels like you are keying your car every time you click it.

The pen was recommended to me by a friend - as a not hugely expensive pen, but better than a biro and regular pen. You pay a bit more for it, but it writes so smoothly. Would recommend, but make sure you get the right refills for it, they have very similar names/number codes!

I love how smooth this pen writes. It was delivered with a broad refill, and I didn't like it. The line was too broad for my writing and it wasn't as smooth as I hoped, but I changed to a medium Lamy M66 refill and it is the smoothest pen I have ever used with the exception of fountain pens. The clip mechanism is fun, but it also serves a function other than just look cool. It makes it impossible to clip the pen with the point out. Since rollerball ink is water based and easily gets on everything it touches this is a great idea. The pen is a bit on the thick side, as is the grip. For me the edge at the bottom of the thickest part is just where I need to hold which makes it a bit uncomfortable. It's not a pen I use for longer sessions because of it. Build quality feels great.
