These AAA batteries are 1.5 volts exactly, they are easy to use, and they are an industry standard size which makes them compatible with many different devices. They are very versatile and portable. I haven't experienced any leakage from these batteries, but I don't leave batteries in equipment or devices that sit idle. Always remove the batteries if the device is not going to be used. Leaving batteries in devices for extended periods will allow them to possibly leak and corrode in the battery compartment of the devices.
