ZWILLING Sommelier Classic Waiter's Corkscrew with Micarta Handle

I am a professional sommelier (CMS 2 Certified, WSET 3) and craft cocktail bartender, and I absolutely love this Zwilling-Henckels wine key. Over the past five years, I have purchased at least SIX of them. I currently own two -- one for work, and one for home. I have had at least two of them stolen! And I recently bought two more for two of my up-and-coming young bartenders as gifts. The wine key is a German design, made of stainless steel, with a two-stage lever, synthetic wood-grain side-piece grips, teflon-coated corkscrew, and a curved, non-serated, capsule knife. When new, the knife is beautifully honed for easily cutting any foil or plastic wine bottle capsules, but it will dull with extensive use over time. The upside is the knife is German stainless and it can be professionally re-sharpened to a like-new hone. I strongly recommend this wine key -- you can pay a lot more for a good wine key, and get a product that is not nearly as functional or durable as this one!

very solid, very sharp feels high end. For the money well worth it, a buy once kind of item. Would be a great gift for wine enthusiasts who always need another corkscrew.

The best wine opener for the price it does the job. High quality and easy to use

Very elegant design and very solid structure. I'm a professional sommelier and I use this for my everyday and I can attest for it's reliability. A good problem would be that the blade is dangerously sharp and you can very easily cut yourself, but eventually you get the hang of it.

A step up from a Pulltaps, which is the gold standard opener to me. That said, this opener feels very solid in hand and the micarta scales look great. This opener is a great middle ground between practical (pulltaps or a boomerang 2 step) and a luxury opener (Chateau Laguiole, etc.) I actually prefer this to higher dollar openers (2 step is very important in my opinion).

Came in fantastic shape, the box itself was undamaged and the tool itself looks perfect!. Blade is plenty sharp and the handle is perfectly fine with a nice eye catching pattern
