Really great knife, after some modifications
This knife is solid. No blade play, scary sharp edge, thick ergonomic handle, and a blade design perfect for combat. However, out of the box, the action is so tight that a dangerous amount of force is needed to deploy the blade quickly, which can result in losing your grip, and in a combat situation nobody has time to slowly rotate the blade into position. Yes, you can sometimes wave the knife out of your pocket, but it's unreliable. So here's what I did: Remove the thumb stud, cut out the tip facing side of the lanyard hole on the spine behind the thumb stud, and create an emerson style wave out of it. Now the lmife deploys easier than an actual emerson and is a real fighting tool

JUNK
Piece of junk, extremely difficult to open. I tried adjusting it to no avail. Threw it in the garbage where it belonged.

"Reality-Based" seemes to mean getting less than you pay for.
I purchased a fixed blade Boker, and the seller sent me this by mistake. So consider this a review by a disinterested 3rd party who saw and handled it before returning it for a refund. Unless a menacing look to a knife is all you are after, I find little else that this knife would offer. The knife is very tight and hard to deploy one- handed. The blade itself seems very cheap. Part of that is due to the fact that this knife has a chisel grind, (ground only on one side. The back side of the knife in the photo is just flat steel. No grind at all to produce an edge). One sided grind lowers production costs. Throw in the fact that 2/3 of the blade edge is curved, so you will need a curved whetstone to sharpen the blade, and you end up with get a knife that is unlikely to hold an edge long and that is difficult to maintain. I have 1 Boker knife (Arbolito) and am purchasing another, so I like their quality. Boker Plus is a low end brand for Boker with this Boker Plus knife is being made Taiwan. Speaking for this particular knife, I am very unimpressed. My 21 yo son had a similar opinion when I showed it to him. Personally, I have other folding knives that are 1/2 the cost and 10 times better IMO.

Intimidating looks
I have several knives and this knife was purchased because of it's intimidating looks. The blade is extremely sharp right out of the box. It feels good in your hand. However, my problem with this knife is it's blade deployment. No matter how much I loosened the tension screw, (and now it is adjusted WAY out), the blade will not deploy to the open position without a lot of coaxing. Even oiled the blade connecting mechanism. No change. I don't care how intimidating the blade looks, or how sharp the blade is, if you can't deploy the blade easily or quickly you may be in some deep trouble. For that reason, it has become an expensive paper weight.

good knife!!
i bought this knife mainly for the glass breaker feature ,i use it in case of a car accident or to help someone in the same situation, i like how sharp it is ,i find the pen clip pretty much useless , the key to change the tips is very small , i change the orientation of the clip and in the left position it sits loose and wobbles a lot, it only sits tight on the right hand position i guess you can fix that with a small washer , i'm with the other reviewer that the handle feels "plasticky" the handle also features 4 finger grooves 3 of them with texture they feel comfortable ,and looks like they wont slip when wet , there r two holes for lanyard one in the back of the handle an the other on the back of the blade so you can tie tie knife to a stick and use it as a spear , nice feature , i was a little worried about of the origin of the knife , i found out that there r a lot of copies of boker knifes out there , so i checked their website and apparently this is the real deal i even registered my knife in their website , i give it 4 stars because of the loose clip , overall i'm please with my new boker plus .

love the knife
came creazy sharp, is well made and feels as one substantial knife. Almost invisible when in the pocket, so though it comes with alternative end resambling pen I don't think I'll use it. Opening is on the tight side, but still acceptable, closing isn't bad also (lock-back). Comfortable non-slip handle. I can't say nothing bad about it except for mine being a bit off-centered

Scalpel Sharp
I am now on my third one of these, which might make you wonder if they are so great then what happened to the first two? Well, I have a tendency to give them away to people who need a really good knife. Brand new this thing cuts like a laser blade. The point is ridiculously scalpel sharp however. And it is true, I have snapped the very end of the tip off on my first one, but it's a great knife!!! I don't think there is a knife out that that is any sharper than this one.
