Makes set up / tear down a breeze --- works better with a decent cordless drill
This socket in combination with a good drill and properly lubricated/ maintained jacks will make setting up and tearing down a breeze. --- Some people says to just use your 3/4" socket from a socket set. That also calls for an extension or adapter to be used with a drill. In my case, my sockets seem to migrate (it's my kid's fault I swear -- or the dog's) so it's hard for me to count on keeping up with a full set. This socket is a single piece socket/ drill adapter. Its a dedicated tool, built for one purpose. I'm less likely to misplace it since it stays where is will be used. I keep one in the trailer and another in the glove box, just in case something gets misplaced during hurried take down and departures. For the price, and avoiding the potential hassle of of having to crank by hand (or worse, my wife having to crank by hand, if I can't get off early enough to be the one to set everything up), it's way worth it. --- And buy a decent cordless drill. Some people in other reviews are marking down this product due to their poor experience trying to lift their heavy trailer with a cheap under powered drill. In some cases, I assume, that the jacks have not been lubricated as often as the manual suggests. I know I rarely think about it until I am reminded when I feel the tension or load when moving the trailer for the first time every year.

Works well IF....
If you have used your crank handle, (most of us have and that is why we want this item) then you have likely mushroomed the hex head just a tad. Enough so in my case that the socket was either very tight or simply wouldn't fit. I grabbed my Dremmel tool with a coarse drum sander attatched and deburred each of my 4 scissor jacks. It maybe took 15 minutes and now the socket fits well, easy on, easy off. I have a 19.2 Craftsman drill I am using it with. Last camping trip I had my jacks all down and camper leveled in little over 5 minutes. I Highly recommend this handy device. My father-in-law has a Cab over camper with manual jacks and 2 crank handles. one of them we cut off the handle and grinded it to fit our drill. Saves a ton of time setting up and unloading, so I was pleaseantly surprised when I came across this gem!

fits perfect
It works as advertised. The simple zinc finish as not very rust resistant, but it fits the stabilizers and the spare tire winch so I can run them up & dpwn quickly.

Camping made faster...
Manually lowering and then raising scissor jacks is one of my least favorite things when using my camper. Attaching this to a cordless drill, and with just seconds with each jack, you are set up and ready to go. Easily saves at least several minutes and a bit of sweat, and in the rain, it gets the job done quickly, and you inside sooner. Although set up is made quicker, tear down is even faster. As a whole, with your cordless drill and this socket, you save a significant amount of time, not to mention stress on your back and arms trying to raise or lower your scissor jacks. For the price of this, I'd recommend this to anyone who sets their camper up more than once a year!!! Do have a drill with a decent amount of torque, as that is important in raising your trailer.

Great product, I definitely would buy again, & DID!
UPDATE 07/22/24 I bought a second one today. The original one is still working just fine, I just wanted another one in case I lose it. ORIGINAL REVIEW I bought mine back in 2016 and have used it on 28 ft and 23 ft travel trailers. I use it with a Milwaukee cordless drill and this cordless drill and socket have more than enough power to raise and lower the stabilizers into position. In fact, I leave this socket in my Milwaukee carrying case when not in use. This socket is especially helpful when it's raining and you're in a hurry. I think the only thing better would be automatic self-levelers.

It does what it's supposed to!
No issues, it does what it's supposed to. I wouldn't have expected a failure out of the box. Since it's made to fit a drill I don't think you have would have to worry about any failure. If it weren't for the drill it would probably handle what any other 3/8" drive socket would handle. The wall thickness is about the same as a craftsman socket and appears to be about the same quality.

I bought this to help speed up setting up my RV trailer. I added two more stabilizing jacks to our rig so putting six of them down takes a bit of time. We do a lot of boondocking and camp in remote areas so we're always on the move. A friend of mine had one of these and I figured it was time I got one too. My only mistake was not reading the product description carefully enough. This particular model only fits on a drill and not an impact drill with a quick release chuck. The drill is fine but doesn't have the power to crank it a few extra notches. I ended up buying a second one of these that actually fit the 1/4" impact drill and love it. Now I can use the extra power to really make the jacks solid. Pros: Does the job well Quality materials Nice and solid Compact size (minus the drill) Cons: Does not fit an impact wrench Socket not very deep. (only ever seen one type of jack with a longer lug though)

This is amazing. If you're used to hand cranking your jacks this will change your life. Keep in mind that you may need a pretty powerful drill to turn your cranks, depending on how greased up the jacks are. I started with an old 18V drill which wasn't quite powerful enough (might have been the old batteries though, hard to say for sure) but when I switched to our newer 19V drill it handled the jacks with almost no problem at all.

You need this if you have a trailer with scissor jacks. Attach to a drill and wind your jacks up or down. Could be improved by the manufacturer by machining the drill side to click in to a cordless impact like every screw bit.

Great socket for use in a Motor home jack up system. Be sure that your drill can handle the larger shaft size. When used with your electric drill, this leveling socket makes quick work out of the job at hand.

It works exactly as intended. No issues with quality or fit when used on standard scissor jacks for travel trailer.
